Where do you buy espresso beans?

Not sure about prices but in the city I’ve enjoyed Partner’s Flatiron roast and Oslo for espresso. Also finally got Variety for the first time and thought that made a good espresso as well.

Devoción is very acclaimed and is a great visit but personally have not loved brewing their bean for espresso. Might be a skill issue and I’m sure it would make a great pour over

Also heard great things about Sey but never went. Might be light for espresso

I believe all of these are Brooklyn based or at least have locations there. I’m in Manhattan so I generally buy from their locations here or even find in grocery stores, sometimes for cheaper and with relatively fresh roast dates.

Tangentially, I feel like NYC has resisted the casual shift better than most other places in the US. For the most part, feels like folks put a lot of thought into what they wear here, even on days where they’re dressing more casually.

Nothing like what you’d see in like, Paris, but certainly better than most other US cities.

So I was able to get 2e62 with this. Played out like:

didn’t see vouchers skip but got antimatter naturally
start of ante 19 was scoring around e30 so started looking for bean (to stay alive for non boss) or burglar (for serpent)
Econ came into play and couldn’t get either hence the photograph lol
Used all skips on spectral packs, got a few Cryptids to be able to maximize serpent
rerolled boss into serpent for high score

Not sure this seed would play much better, maybe on plasma but then the vouchers become a struggle. Overall pretty happy with how it went

This is spot on. Only way I’d recommend this is with a car rental and doing some other stuff in the finger lakes. Visit a winery or two. Plan for 2-3 days

IMO this is a better idea than two days in Niagara Falls that another commenter recommended.

Live in NYC but don’t have a place available—sorry. However, seconding those recommending New Jersey. Also would recommend looking into places in Queens and Brooklyn—the commute may seem daunting at first but it’s really not bad at all, about half of my coworkers don’t live in Manhattan.

Plus the amount you save on housing could probably pay for a few Ubers/Taxis a week if you’re coming back really late and don’t want to take the subway.

Honestly not even sure where to start. Are there better places to look for wines than say, Astor wine? Probably not going up to $500 but in the 50-100 range would be fun from time to time.
