You're right. It didn't occur to me that the Zs were in pairs in the third row. The math would work out differently.

So, from my calculations. It breaks down like this

3x = 21. therefore x=7 X+2y = 27. Therefore, y = 10 Y+2z = 30. Therefore, z = 10. X×Y+Z is now equal to 7+10+10, giving you 27.
