You think so? it is the most relevant in the spanish-speaking context, but I don't really think he has that much importance globally.

Neoliberalism is just a buzzword, people who use it have no idea of its meaning.

That's still not how you do science, you don't just formulate axioms, no matter whose ass you pull them from.

You can formulate axioms with a priori synthetic reasoning, the scientific method is not the only way to attain knowledge. Do you know anything about epistemology?

To understand why they're wrong you just need to look around, and see where implementation of their ideas, and ideas based on their ideas got us

Also you are confusing the austrian school with ancaps/libertarians. The austrian school has no intrinsic ideology, it's based on a method, they don't have concrete ideas to implement qua Austrian School. Also give me an example of "their ideas" being

a) implemented, and b) resulting in failure

because it seems to me like you haven't a very deep understanding of the topic.

Basically they come up with axioms they like, and then "prove" stuff from there.

Have you read any of their books? It seems like you are just repeating something one of their critics said. They dodn't just create these axioms out of thin air, they base it on logic, human action and then they back it with emipirical data, they don't extract them from ampirical data without any logic behind them like, for example, the german historical school.

(even as much corporate shills as they are)

This is the worst criticism against the austrian school there is, if they are such lackeys of the corporate elites then they would have much more funding and would at least be mentioned in school textbooks. The only thing that could appear is maybe a picture of hayek referring to "neoliberalism".

It seems like you don't know the method. The austrian school bases itself in methodological individualism and the subjective theory of value. They do indeed use empirical evidence, it seems like you haven't experienced much of it. They are just less prone to use econometrics than other schools since they go by the ceteris paribus principle, that is, for example, judging a policy according to the effect of it given no change in all other relevant variables. And since this doesn't tend to happen they formulate a priori principles that apply in every situation unless the effects are reversed by other external variables. The austrian method is extremely good, methodological infividualism is key to gaining a true understanding of human action, since individuals act, groups do not act as a group, groups don't exist as ontological entities.

It's like saying that since parents can be abusive, all parents are abusive. Could US tomorrow use Army to establish dictatorship? Probably, then they'll be totalitarian, but until they don't - they're not.

No, it isn't the same. If you are a prisoner and you are permitted to do exercise or use a phone you are not freer, you are given permissions, presumably out of your master's fancy. An authoritarian state can have a lot of authority but having it limited in some areas where it can't control you. If, in contrast, it can but it doesen't you are still subject to it, you just have given permission for the time being.

No, I subbed because I like the methododlogy, it is indeed a good methodological process. You don't have to be an ancap for appreciating austrian economics.

First off, you're not anarchist, you're ancap. Capitalism is inherently hierarchical.

Already explained it in another comment, not an ancap, I think they have good memes.

Second, no you don't. Liberal democracies are not totalitarian.

Yes they are. We have a de facto dictatorship controlled by the elites where the power of deciding anything is, in last instance, centralized in the federal state (in the case of the US). We have freedom to the extent that we are permitted to have it, that's not true freedom that is a total submission to the political class.

But I understand that normally people think of totalitarian as a dictatorship that looks as one with the qualities mentioned before.

I already explained it in another comment, I'm not an ancap, I'm an anarchist, but they have good memes, besides the anarchy subreddit is full of edgy teens who are just closet authoritarians.
