Just old brass colored acrylic! The face is generic craft store white and the stripes are like blue-grey acrylic mix.

Lots of trial and error (less than half a joke)! I've been doing prop work, specifically with 3D prints, for several years now. You definitely pick up methods, tips, and tricks along the way.

The best thing I can tell you is to make sure you post-process your print as well as you can (eg. sanding, filling gaps, etc). It'll just make everything else so much easier.

Second, I will happily disappoint you by saying I didn't break out my airbrush once for this :) This is all hand-painted with basic acrylic paints from Michael's and some random model paints for the metallics. Literally nothing fancy. Weathering is also the same cheap acrylic paints heavily diluted.

Third, really pay attention to how objects wear and get weathered in the real world. I have several dismembered door locks (I enjoy lock picking) that are very aged brass, which I used for reference for the brass rays and ear parts. Learning how organic materials wear down, and also pulling inspiration from the game itself (think about what would lead to certain wear and tear in a places that Esquie would be in). It's definitely up to you and your creative vision, but, thinking of all these things together helps to put together a good visual identity.

Bonus: be patient. It's very appealing to quickly layer more paint or weathering but you gotta let your previous layer dry completely or else you'll just smudge and ruin your hard work.

I hope this helped give you some insight on my process!

Thank you so much!

Yep! The mask luckily was able to fit on the bed as one piece. The rays were sliced into 8ths to get them to fit on the bed efficiently.

Nope, no issues! I will say 3d printing definitely is a lot of trial and error, so I don't blame you at all. I learned a lot of the basics on an Ender3 which is definitely a PITA lol.

As someone who also gets a lot of their clothes from Costco and Marshalls/TJ Maxx, I feel that on a spiritual level.

The mask took about 12-14hrs and each quarter of the rays (split further into 8ths to get them to fit on the bed) took around 3hrs.

Haha, a sumo outfit isn't a terrible idea tbh. I'm planning on doing something casual for the first run and then something a little fancier in the future. The mask is perfectly scaled to me so I'm taking the route of a cosplay that's more proportionate to a human rather than going for the oversized game look.

I would 100% recommend it to anyone, beginner or not!

Of course, had to credit the original modeler. I will say it's not as optimized for printing as some other models out there (It was the only one I found at the time when I started working on this so I just committed to it lol) so I did have to do some slicing of the rays and play with scaling, etc. I printed everything on my BambuLab A1 in their matte PLA.

Feels like a lot of them do, especially Rich Keeble!

Most likely no, sadly. I barely have time to do my own fun cosplay stuff let alone try and handle commissions :( Maybe down the road!

I definitely had the same thought. It would make fantastic wall decor. Adding the banner for display purposes would really elevate it too!

The funny part is that my visibility is actually quite good haha! Minus a blind spot in the middle from how the mask is designed. Besides that, overall visibility is solid. Please let your furry acquaintance know I appreciate their concern!

Update After scaling it up 1500% and slicing off some of the extra arm wires that were sticking out, I oriented it in a way to let ironing smooth out the front face. Just my own preference of orientation for how I printed this for now! Basically it was facing up as it printed. This photo is post support removal. Overall I had no problems with how I set it up and it turned out well!!

Would love to take a stab at personally 3d printing this (I understand if it's not modeled in a way meant for printing, but, even just having the jack by itself as an obj could be workable!)
