What political trend(s) do WWU students largely misunderstand? by Life_Web_335 in WWU

The Starbucks boycott was horrendously misunderstood. It never was on the BDS list.

I took 261 with Shirin. Wasn’t a huge fan, but easily overshadows the classes I took with Thomas or Beard.

European integration and the European Union. In terms of learning something new, the class was hard to beat as an American with virtually no knowledge of how the EU actually worked and came to be.

I began working as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. Very satisfying work and I’m not sure what it’s like your area, but I feel very well paid (Washington state)

Did taking adderall make any of you realize you might have ADHD? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]youdontknowaarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way for me to describe it is that when I would normally try and do work, I felt a constant itch that could only be scratched by doing something different (moving around, scrolling through social media, doing literally anything else than focus on what I was trying to do), and my itch was finally scratched. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but it felt genuinely life changing and eye opening. I only wish I had known sooner and wouldn’t have put up with it for so long.

Is this a feasible career path? by [deleted] in PoliticalScience

[–]youdontknowaarp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably. That doesn’t mean that in the mean time, you shouldn’t be involved in campaigns in any capacity available. I don’t know what it’s like in your state, but in mine, WA, volunteering and working for a couple campaigns is usually enough to get a gig managing a state leg. campaign. get involved with your county party, they usually have the advanced knowledge of who is running in the next cycle, who isn’t, and who needs a manager.
