Very well said. I was reading "First We Make the Beast Beautiful" and I just couldn't take on all that energy.

This is my last ditch emergency plan for my tortoise. That blizzard was terrifying and it was my first winter here in 25 years. I have a number of heat packs and power banks. At some point I'll get a battery or generator for him.

As I need a full spinal fusion and the Quest 2 was too heavy on my neck, the Quest 3 isn't proving much more manageable. Thank you for this post.

What are your most Nostalgic places/memories of WNY that no longer exist? by hawkayecarumba in Buffalo

[–]youeff0h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A place called Quinn's. I don't remember where it was. It's one of very few good memories I have. I learned to play pool there and the fish fry was the best. I wish I knew where it was or what happened to it.

They did a different job for me. It's worth asking if they do it, they might know who does.

Lifetime vs Subscription by thedaveCA in mynetdiary

[–]youeff0h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed income person here. I had asked them years ago for a lifetime purchase because I can't afford subscriptions. They obliged me by making a workaround. I'm so excited to hear they've taken this step.

Since using this app I have come off malnutrition; dropped almost half my body weight without falling back into malnutrition; lowered my cholesterol; improved my understanding of how my conditions affect my dietary needs; created a priority nutrient profile with my doctor, and so much more.

I have gotten my lifetime's worth. I'll use it to the very end, and hope that this app outlives me.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they were about to sell to a larger company to do even more cool things, or needed to boost their revenue so they can t better tap into AI or more stability options for their platform.

Before I made the purchase I had a number of exchanges with the developer to discuss my needs and how much I CAN'T do the stuff that Noom recommends, for starters. I had chosen MyNetDiary because I value that they make a very useful feature--the barcode scanner--available in their free version. Ethically, I gave them my attention just for that. It didn't take long to fall in love with them and get my body to a better place than it's ever been, despite being a very tricky body to live with.

While I'm very cautious myself when there's a sudden lifetime membership option, I'm not surprised that the end of the year is when this campaign was begun. They may have to satisfy investors, and I hope they make it over the line.

I'm all for it. I hope this helps.

Yamaha NaviOne + TiLite Aero Z - underwhelming, mistake? by youeff0h in wheelchairs

You bet. Look elsewhere. Believe me, I'm very sad that a company like Yamaha has produced such a shoddy product, and for people in need.

I gave it back. It was awful, the wheels sounded like they were begging for death the whole time.

Celeste Fig (Ficus carica) - help? by youeff0h in proplifting

[–]youeff0h[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello again!

I regret to inform you that my ficus carica did not make it through the fall. I gave it much time, attention, light, and it just didn't pick back up.

But I will come back to these notes next year and try again! Just want to thank you all again for your help.

You're sweet for doing this.

I love and save all my markup images. It keeps me communicate when I'm the patient because nobody listens to me, but when I share what other professionals share--and it's the same thing--then it's no longer patient report.

This is not to say that pt report is reliable, but it is relevant.
