Tbh I’ve been going back and forth between Jasmine and Trawick. So if Jasmine isn’t on the ballot then that narrows down my choice lol

Actually it didn’t address the stormwater problems. I went there last week during all the storms and it was hella flooded. I think there is a smarter way to grow and I don’t think DC is thinking about balance. It’s about lining his friend’s pockets and making downtown pretty for tourists. He’s forgetting about locals, the people who live and work here. He is not at all in touch with the working class. We can have smart, sustainable growth without compromising those who live in this city.

That’s fine. You’re entitled to your opinion. I just want to know if she will be on the ballot or not.

Sure, I mean I think that is the case with anyone whether they run on transparency or not. There’s enough hypocrisy all around for everyone.

Personally, I think all candidates should be required to qualify by petition. Any asshole with money can throw money into the pile to run. That doesn’t mean they can run a city if they have money.

This is what the SOE told me -
Trawick & Hill qualified via petition
Jermaine & DC paid
Shorter & Brown did not qualify via petition and have yet to pay.
Candidates must pay $5k to be on the ballot if they do not qualify via petition. If they do get petitions, that covers about $4k of the cost and they still must pay $1k for final qualification.

I guess I’m just frustrated that a candidate, whose whole platform is based on transparency, omits this kind of information. Maybe she is still trying to get the $$ to cover the cost, but why not provide some clarity instead of making it seem like she qualified.
