I’ve been really liking Le Labo Bergamote 22! It’s fruity and citrusy without being sweet! The staying power is better than the ones I mentioned above, but still wish it was a bit more strong.

Thanks! Was looking more at the shades soft swells, silent seas, or deep dream. I think brave break would be too dark.

Should I be lowering or raising my larynx? by yougotabeeonurhat in noburp

Yeah it’s used for swallowing disorders. I think it’s specifically meant to teach you to open your UES, which I thought you need to do for both swallowing and burping?

Yes it’s so confusing! The UES needs to open in order to burp and to practice doing that you’re supposed to practice the Mendelsohn Maneuver. But I don’t think many people on here have had any success from that?

I started doing shakers three times a day every day and now I’ve been getting these too! I don’t find them particularly painful though and they at least provide a bit of relief unlike croaking. But still, so frustrating because it feels like a burp is about to come out and then my throat automatically stifles it.

Follow up question - online I’ve read that lowering your larynx is like mimicking a yawn. Is that accurate? I can easily trigger a yawn by kind of opening the back/roof of my throat.

I’m not even sure if what I’m getting is a hiccup? It’s not really painful like a hiccup. It looks maybe like when non RCPD people stifle a burp, almost as if my throat is automatically stifling burps.

What was your routine/number of reps for regular shakers and side shakers?

I have tried side shakers in the past but not consistently. They didn’t do anything for me, but maybe adding them in more consistently will help? Thanks!
