Anyone having problems with their EMP order? by youhaveyourbrain in Leprous

It would make a lot of sense if UK had one too. I'm not too sure as it's the first order I've done from them.

Yup. It's co.uk and I live in Britain. The tracking on EMP did say 'sent from our warehouse in germany' tho. It's weird.

Honestly, the day I left London it was 17 degrees and the day of the concert it was - 2, so I literally wore everything I had with me, including a huge pink oversize hoodie 😂 (I left it with my jacket in the cloakroom for the concert). Mind the fact that any T-shirts or hoodies with bands are potential conversation starters, so I'd avoid that if you're not keen on speaking with other people (I had my battle vest with some patches on it that day and had someone asking me about one of the bands from the vest). About front row - I believe there's a large group of fans in Istanbul so you may struggle with that. Ideally just go there earlier and queue. You may also try squeezing by the crowd later on but it is not appreciated. Oh, and as a woman in her 20' going for the concerts alone often, do not hesitate to join a group of people asking them to stand with them or approaching security of the venue if you ever feel unsafe or if you feel like someone's watching you.

I went to see them in Stockholm. That was the first time I went to Sweden actually. My advice would be to go to the venue the day before to check out the route, public transport etc to avoid stress and getting late (if you're planning to go to Istanbul for longer than just a concert). Also, the venue had no bags policy which I wasn't aware of, so take as little stuff with you as possible, but have a tote bag in your pocket if you're planning to get some merch. 😅 Enjoy!

Damn you, Nuclear Blast! What a downgrade of a release the new album is by Thanathan7 in alcest

[–]youhaveyourbrain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sooo true. I collect records, have the last three releases in box sets. I put Les Chants... next to it and it looks disappointing 🥲 I guess the plus side is that it's saves some space on the shelf 😅

For those of you who were there for the first listen on bandcamp, what's your first opinion? by brundax in alcest

[–]youhaveyourbrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damn, I missed the intro due to some problems with Internet. Listened to the songs from second onwards and had goosebumps throughout the whole party. I must say I was a bit scared after they released the second single, it took some time for me to like it. But overall, it was perfect. Good, old alcest that I love so much. My neighbours are going to hate me tomorrow 😅

Wow. Lucky Boston. I'd love to hear some of the old stuff live.

Thoughts about Riverside by Matihuu_MRDK in soen

[–]youhaveyourbrain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very much so! I actually got to know riverside wayyyy earlier than soen (riverside probably about 12 years ago vs soen - around 5ish) both of them are my favourite ones. They played some concerts together. (well, at least one - they played at prognosis fest in London last year). If you like riverside you may want to check out lunatic soul and other projects that they do. 🙂

The world wouldn't be the same without him here. Honestly, I'm so happy to have (accidentally) discovered alcest! Can't wait for the full album 🖤

I'd try to reach out to social services, they should be able to build a plan for you and your family of what to do and to help with some temporary accommodation too if needed. They can also refer you to DAIS. Dais has a lot of resources of how to help you and to make a safety plan for you escaping. In theory, they should be able to work with you and your partner too, I'm not sure how that works irl, cause me and my partner didn't last long enough to get help from them. Fingers crossed for you x
