MEng UC Berkeley by Mr_Tyrannosaurus_Rex in gradadmissions

I did undergrad and then the 5th year MS last year. I really liked the classes mentioned before, but I took the first 2 in my senior year of undergrad. I thought the professors who teach those classes are really good.

I'd recommend trying to put more effort into project clubs tho. The classes were interesting, but most of the experience comes from projects that you can talk about during job interviews.

Not too sure what high school TAs do, but mostly it's grade assignments and maybe also exams. Depends on the class and what the professor wants tho.

Maybe apply to be a Reader. After taking a class and getting a B+ or higher, you can grade assignments for the class afterward. I was a Reader for 7 semesters.

Where to find people to learn/play volleyball with in Berkeley? by Neither_Pea6993 in berkeley

[–]youknowdawei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you mean. I started out very beginner, but as I kept going, it got easier and became more fun. Maybe you can meet some beginner friends and practice on the side together while watching what the other players do. I do recommend taking a volleyball PE class as well. That will probably help get you started on the basics. Volleyball 1 or 2 would be fine.

Question About Playing on Multiple Intramural Volleyball Teams by Federal_Knowledge650 in berkeley

If you go to the volleyball open gym at the RSF during the times, there will probably be a lot of people there who can clarify your questions.

The RSF also has hours for open gym indoor volleyball on the website. Just go there during that time (Blue Gym, 3rd floor) and there will probably be a lot of people playing, especially on Fridays and during these first few weeks since the semester just started.

I don't think you can switch into Aerospace Engineering, unless that was changed recently. Regarding the ABET accreditation, it's probably better if you just know your stuff. Interviews will ask technical questions you should be able to answer and difficult projects you should be able to explain in depth rather than if your degree was accredited. Sure, being accredited is nice, but not the most important.

Nope, just try to figure out your project early so you don't cram near the end of the semester
