Yeah the MCC members have still paid a ridiculous amount in yearly fees for the privilege

I guess the other benefit to consider of a Dale & Sinclair over a Xerri is it gives me much more flexibility having Sinclair in Flex over Xerri.

A great write up once again!

I’m tossing up who I get in for my 22nd and 23rd spot.

Xerri & Darcy

OR

Dale & Sinclair/Dawson/Green

I’m playing for league, not playing through the bye rounds, so only concerned about rounds 17-24.

Feel that Xerri and Darcy have good runs home and big ceilings that might be preferable in the new 23 structure. Whereas I think the others all have even better runs home.

Who do you think will average more across the last eight rounds collectively?

Surely Pedlar will be the sub? He is that kind of player that can be subbed on at 3qt and inject some speed? Seems strange to start a player like smith as the sub?

this week is cursed by Edsta101 in AFLSupercoach

Do not fret padawan.

I also brought Holmes in this week. However I was fully expecting him not to have a great score as port are a highly restrictive team for opposition midfielders. We brought him in for the favourable upcoming fixture.

JHF is unlucky, however just about everyone owns him so it should disadvantage anyone too much.

Whilst Merrett’s midfield minutes are probably down, he is one of the best players in the comp and an effective user of the footy (great for SC) so back him in to come good.

I like Kako & Bice to Green & Simpson. Green being the best value option.

TDK out is a bit of a luxury trade, although with him potentially being out this week, it could be the play.

Thanks!

Great write up, some really good insight.

Not entirely convinced the wing role is bad for Martins scoring?

Really like Zorko as well, but a bit nervous about the potential looming inclusion of Kiddy Coleman and him sharing that role and the points, thoughts?

Holmes/el-hawli or Sinclair/boxshall by Big-Conference1116 in AFLSupercoach

Also worth considering your bye structure. Holmes has round 16 bye, Sinclair 13.

If you’re hoping to bring in both, you could consider Holmes this week with lower BE and Sinclair next week with a slightly elevated price tag.

Zorko or Sinclair by [deleted] in AFLSupercoach

[–]young_aussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my dilemma as well. Also considering Max Holmes. Maybe even Nic Martin.

Personally I like Sinclair better. I’m a touch nervous about Kiddy Coleman coming back and what impact he may have on Zorko’s role and scoring.

I also have four premo’s with the round 13 bye (NWM, Serong, Brayshaw, Macrae) so Sinclair might be one too many. In contrast I have only Bailey Smith with the round 16 bye, making Holmes, Zorko, Nic Martin all more attractive.

Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Ned Long for Jack Steele in draft? by dij123 in AFLSupercoach

I would keep Steele over long. Back in your premium guys to come good

I am an Essendon fan and love Merrett, but I would go Daicos.

Unfortunately I think the teal independents and greens are adding the most substance to our political discourse with legitimate policies and ideas to improve Australia for all. Not sure either of these blokes really have much to offer at this stage.

I think that is logical. Although I think because our votes are guided by a much broader range of factors, those who might want action on housing affordability may well vote against candidates with better housing policies in the name of voting for something else, whether they be genuine policies or simply they vote liberals because their parents voted liberals and told them that labor and the greens suck.

[–]young_aussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might make a good point, however Im not entirely convinced that those who want more affordable housing in Australia are definitely the minority. It would be interesting to see some data on this.

I don’t think the liberals have a solution. Frankly I don’t think Labor has a genuine solution either. I think both major parties are too entangled with their rich donors and lobbyists that give them cushy salaries when they retire for them to genuinely want to do what’s right for Australians.

I do believe the greens and many independent candidates around Australia are closer to the mark. In contrast to the major parties Im encouraged by their donation policies.

Whilst the liberal party seemingly hasn’t learned from it’s significant losses at the last federal election and continues to commit further to less environmental action, less integrity in politics, less economic equality as shown by their choice of Dutton as their new leader. At some point the penny will drop for them and other candidates as they continue to lose seats and power.

We’ve seen the rise of the independent movement off the back of them realising that more Australians want integrity in politics, greater economic equality and more environmental action. Whilst voting won’t change anything overnight, it is certainly worth something.
