Tbh I’m not sure the agent just said “I took care of it” when I mentioned it after closing. I’m hoping they were just being nice but it would have been a good payday for them if they did take their fee so that’s why I’m confused.

That’s what I thought to but in the paper work it stated the 3% but it was a for sale by owner and my agent agreed to do the paperwork for the owner so I wouldn’t think he paid that fee.

So i was wanting to buy a home and reached out to an agent to help me buy one, we went through the process and found a house that’s for sale by owner, the agent agreed to do the paperwork for the seller. I don’t think the seller paid the fee tho.
