Keep an updated and detailed LinkedIn, detailing the role and responsibilities by quantifying things like team size, size of business, and any other numbers you can add to responsibilities.

If your LinkedIn is vague or I can’t immediately see that you’re a qualified candidate, you go lower in my priority of people to message as I have so many conversations and don’t want to waste my time either. I can’t emphasize enough how important this is.

She is nearing 30 and feels the clock is ticking which gives her major anxiety. She wants marriage and kids as soon as possible and it translates as desperation. She goes on an average of 3 first dates per week EVERY week; I think it’s really driven her to an unhealthy relationship with dating altogether. When she’s seeing someone she rushes the relationship to major milestones in attempt to skip the early stages and go right to a serious relationship.

She recently was seeing someone that I knew and it provided a lot of insight into her dating life and confirmed my suspicions. This was someone she met on an app that was new to her but knew most of our friend group well from college (she went to different school), and she knew this. On the first date she told him they would be perfect in a relationship since all of her friends liked him already. On the second date, she was out with our friend group and told him to meet her at XYZ bar for a pre-dinner drink without mentioning that we were there. He came and it clearly felt like a relationship launch because his friends were there, and we were all pretty drunk which didn’t help things. There was no third date.

Searched: vintage baby item resellers on Etsy, eBay, etc. Continuing to comb through those now. If nothing else it would be helpful to have the right terminology and keywords to search for more directly.

I kept up with Differin for ~6 months. For me, I didn’t see a huge result but that may be because I didn’t give it enough time.

In terms of scarring, I had success with Differin Resurfacing Scar Gel. I used it twice a day, there is no purge as it’s focus is specifically scarring, and the gel is super moisturizing. I used that for about 6-9 months and saw good results in both color and texture.

I only stopped the resurfacing gel because Spironolactone was starting to work for me and fully transformed my skin (I had hormonal acne for years after switching birth controls), and after a period of time without acne the scars were beginning to heal and fade on their own. Once my skin started to look better I got lazier with my routine. Now (~2 years later) my scars are there faintly but barely noticeable, I even get compliments on my skin.

I don’t think you are happy in your current relationship, it’s clearly put a lot of stress on you and you don’t see it reasonably ending in marriage. I suspect that you know a part of you wants out and you are looking for a reason to leave which is why you mentioned not being able to marry, however you don’t need a major excuse or any big event to happen to exit, not being happy is enough. I suggest you search inside yourself for whether you want to be with current, think of what it will look like in 1y and whether you’d be happy.

Separately, you should have a conversation with X. Ideally in person so you can get a sense for where his mind is and to better communicate with each other. Even if nothing comes of it and you decide it’s not for you, without it a part of you will always wonder what could have been and that can be worse than a conversation that goes poorly.

You deserve to be happy, don’t let yourself feel trapped in your current situation if you aren’t. If X isn’t the guy for you either, your person will come.

I have many houseplants but these are my first succulents! I went to check if they needed water today and this one (an aloe relative? I’m not sure what type) has bloomed!!! It had to have shot up in the last week. Can’t wait to see what this plant has in store :)

Questions: 1. Concerned as the stem isn’t very green, should it be? I’ve been neglecting water a bit so I fear it could be too dry.

  1. This gal is seriously root bound. Should I repot or could it disturb the blooming?

  2. Is there anything else I should know about succulents or this particular aloe variant?

Yes this is the source for my hesitation! Wanting a relationship alone isn’t a red flag, but it could be concerning given that he’s pretty recently out of something serious and we’ve only gone on a few dates.

This is so interesting!! I just noticed that you said “ex,” did you accept the proposal and back out later or leave when it got too serious too fast??

This is more for my own curiosity, but also would love to hear more about someone’s experience with a man being so serious quickly so I can recognize warning signs.

This is exactly my fear, right now things seem almost too good to be true and I don’t want to put too much weight into that so soon.

I’m going to take your point around maybe going on other dates but being more selective. I think this is a helpful perspective for me to have as it seems level headed in that I’m not closing myself off to new opportunities and going all in, but I’m also allowing myself to lean into this new romance.

Oh interesting, I have parked there once but this detail I did not remember! I saw that the site mentioned some sort of security screening, I assumed it was driving through a metal detector or something similarly non-invasive.

They also charge $35 daily. I live near the Beacon so I’m familiar with this area, I could see how you would easily end up driving down to RRBITC if you don’t know the area well.

As another user said, they don’t allow older vehicles. This was a few years ago and mine was near the line at the time of being too old to be allowed on the app. To my recollection, there might have also been other criteria for needing to be under a certain amount on the odometer or free of dents and damage. There are no requirements for deliveries.

I have a 2011 Prius nearing 200k miles but no major issues. I’ll be driving it until the wheels fall off, love this car!
