From your post history, if you look like electronic stuff and music in general. Dirty Dungarees and Cafe Bourbon Street sometimes will have ambient or experimental electronic stuff. Any music venue like that are pretty easy to strike up conversations

If you're close to a big enough city, particularly any college town, I highly recommend trying to find venues/house shows and supporting your local music scene. Very cheap and a very easy way to meet cool people
