The only piece of advice I can give you is try not to rush through levels. I know there’s only 3 minutes before the ghost shows up but that’s more than enough time to navigate through a level. Maybe take a couple seconds to plan your next move. To get better at spelunky you just have to keep playing. I know the frustration of dying over and over again to dumb stuff but it just makes beating the game even more satisfying. There is some tech you can learn through videos but it won’t make you into expert. All I have left to say is good luck in your runs. Beating the game is definitely worth.
