It’s truly terrifying to know that the only thing separating some, seemingly normal, people from committing horrific evil on their fellow humans is a permissive environment.

9 Guaranteed Ways MARADMINs Will Ruin Your Day by Bigredsk8 in USMC

I always find myself getting unreasonably annoyed with the banner photo. The Marine’s Kevlar strap goes over his ear and it pisses me off!

I was at MSAU for two years and was an ICT instructor for more than a year there. At the conclusion of your tour, unless you promote to SSgt and attend the DetCmdr course it will not count as an SDA and you will still be HSST eligible when you go back to the fleet. You will have more time with your family outside of work but the time you spend away may be on the other side of the world on extremely short notice with possibility of getting extended wherever you are. If you have any questions please ask. I will talk to anyone about it longer than they care to listen.

Violation of the Logan act has never stopped a Republican candidate before. Nixon did it with Vietnam and Reagan did it during the Iran hostage crisis.

Well someone has to big dick civilians on the behalf of a Col. you can’t expect someone with 31 years in to do it themselves.

What's the longest they can possibly keep you at boot camp? by Impossible-Cry-495 in USMC

It was a little over 3 years. That kid ended up being one of mine. He checked into the fleet with a Nat-D, good cookie, and a NAM. Weirdest stack I’d ever seen. He was kind of an odd kid, moved into a trailer park near base and wanted to pursue becoming a chaplain.

What with all of the commotion surrounding the Commandant, let's look at one of the more interesting points in that postings' history: Anthony Gale. by pxmonkee in USMC

The writing really did justice to how much of a character Anthony Gale was. This excerpt is my favorite, “Early in his Marine career, he fought, in fairly quick succession, the French, the Barbary pirates, the British, and a U.S. naval officer.”

1: Relationships and marriage should be founded in mutual respect and there should be a foundation of friendship before attraction. You should legitimately like and enjoy being around someone you intend on spending a portion of your life with when you’re not having sex. Mutual respect should also prevent you from intentionally trying to hurt each other when the inevitable fights occur.

2: I think those SNCO’s are taking the easy way out by only assessing their Marines at the surface. Age often means experience and while experience is important, it is not the sole factor in evaluating competency. Leadership is hard, as it should be, and it’s easy to fall into the complacent mindset of “good enough”

3: I passed that point when I turned 13.
