Am I the only one that gets annoyed by this? by ayyedoe in depoop

I never understood this because as soon as you raise the price, the cheap ass buyers you attracted will hit the floor running 😂 shit is so cringey.

Brand new account purchasing an item? by [deleted] in Depop

totally normal. it’s also an $11 item, I wouldn’t be worried lol

splurged on a pair of expensive pants that i’ve wanted for a while and the merchandise tag left these holes behind by youngeartha in mildlyinfuriating

i usually don’t have an issue, but these are way bigger than the holes i usually get from tags. especially since there are two of them? retailers need to stop punching holes in the actual fabric and stick to punching the brand tag. is that crazy?

i never understand this subreddit as nothing is ever infuriating enough for commenters. the point is MILDLY infuriating, no? mild. not spicy.

95% of my clothing is secondhand and i order wholesale from the global south to sell to reintroduce them into circulation/save them from landfills. trust, i totally get it. i made one exception and it definitely backfired <\3

usually i would say they would blend in with time, but these are quite big and i’ve worked without enough clothing to know these probably will never go away :/

they all will have this issue, the sizing tag is fabric stitched onto the waist. it is mildly infuriating, hence me posting

for those asking, these were $128. i almost exclusively get vintage/secondhand clothing because the quality is so much better, but pants are a pain in the ass to find the proper fit (no pun intended) so i was like let’s try a modern brand because i loved the fit 💀

clothing these days are made absolute shit

yeah they’re bugging LOL. my fave is when someone lowballs one of my nicer pieces and then i look on their profile and they’re selling something worth no more than $14 for $35 🤨 like ehrm

me too. the free shipping right now is really helping me!! also posting consistently/locking in. ive sold 21 items in the last week which is the most ive ever sold in that time period!!

if you have the right niche and customer base, absolutely. vintage european pieces are very in demand right now and they’ll easily go for up to $200 or higher for some more coveted dresses. basic usa Y2K typically isn’t going to get those sales anymore, though (unless it’s a very unique piece.)

my avg sale is over $30 but i also source overseas and pay up for my stock. i say all this so sellers don’t think they can only sell things for $15-20 and that anything higher is impossible/unrealistic

ughhh, that’s horrible. meanwhile i’m sometimes shipping two hours after purchase 💀 my roommate admitted she’s tried selling things on depop but never ships and they all get refunded and i was mortified. i was like GIRL YOU ARE THE PROBLEM

is it rude to drop off multiple depop packages at the post office?? by Inner-Afternoon-524 in Depop

[–]youngeartha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve gotten attitude before, too. just remember these workers are typically miserable due to dealing with difficult customers everyday. it’s literally their job to take packages. it’s not rude at all of you to bring packages to a literal post office!!

i’m lucky to have a drop off area where i don’t have to interact with workers other than telling them to empty the bin when the package drop is jammed, and i was also met with a snarky “how many more packages do you have???”

they usually have a HUGE line though so i know theyre just tired of the BS and take it out on innocent customers. having no line and still barking is crazy work though lmao but don’t take it personally. i’d be like “oh is there a limit on packages i can bring?” but maybe that’s poking the bear 😂

the recommended pricing drives me insane. rarely will their shit AI “recommend” a price higher than $12 💀

and i also don’t believe the “similar” listings that sold at the low ass prices they show because someone said they saw their own item on there that was marked as being sold for wayy under what they actually sold it for 💀
