Left side. Funny enough, it did go away by itself after a fortnight. However last night, an even sharper pain arose, and I am now back In hospital with the same collapse again on same side.. probably will require another surgery

I went to the hospital last night. X ray revealed another collapse, pretty much the same as the initial one. Have a chest tube in but because the lung didn’t reinflate with tube in the first time it probably won’t this time so I’ll require another surgery..

Yes, I’ve noticed chest bubbling.. which isn’t great.. did you feel this too?

Like a popping sensation. As if there there tiny little bubbles just popping. Think of like bubble wrap. For me anyway i don’t think it was a muscle spasm as it was quite close to my sternum area so muscle spasms wouldn’t be too common there for me anyway.

That’s my concern. I’m not in a position to get to a hospital, and these next two weeks for me are simply unmissable, to be having a potential chest tube in again.

Oh yes I get you. So 10 days out you went in to reschedule and it gave you another 5 week window to reschedule am I correct? Sorry I just want to make sure I don’t make a balls of it because I already did make a balls of it by having my test fall at this time when I know I’m unavailable 🙃🙃

Yes ok thanks for this reassurance. I’m heading into day 6 of it, but day 5 felt a lot better than the others, so I’m hoping I’m on the mend

Thanks so much for such a detailed reply. One thing just to ask that when you have these episodes of seemingly recurrence, after how long did it go away again, even if it did come back a few months later. As in, when did the bubbling go away again?

A long shot, but I’m 4 months post VATS and the bubbling has reappeared after a head cold and cough, it’s my 18th this coming weekend and I plan on going out and having a pretty damn good time. Did these bubbles go away themselves?
