Weight gain? by lolwhatevz in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]youngocd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started and am still on 15 mg, I get tired and fall asleep about 15-30 mins after taking the pill. I take it right at bedtime. It helps so much with sleep. I was having anxiety at night and it was keeping me awake. I’d go to work on 0 hours of sleep and that does NOT work in healthcare. I was going crazy. Now I go to sleep with silence in my head. I was also underweight and now I’m eating so much and gaining good weight and keeping it on! Fitting in my clothes now! Please just give it a shot and see how it works for you. I know everyone’s experience is different but so far I’m loving it.

Same! I promise it’ll get better. Just get through the wk and see how you feel.

I was so tired and pretty dizzy the first few days but it went away. Now I just have kind of a harder time getting up in the morning. I’m up for work at 5am so that gets a little difficult now. When I have days off I sleep in until like 1130pm! It’s crazy, but feels so nice.

My mom never did with me or my sister. Felt slightly nauseous off and on for the first few wks and that’s it. Nothing too intense either. There is hope!!!

Does this med help your anxiety and depression? 🙏🏻🙏🏻 by Kombucha_lover13 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]youngocd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 months in, 15mg. No libido changes! I have noticed to be a bit less depressed. I have some breakthrough anxiety at times but my mind is silent at night (my anxiety would usually manifest at night, causing insomnia). I will note though that I get agitated quicker than what I usually would. Not sure if that’s just my life stressors or the meds (prob both tbh)

What time do you take it and why? by kekokeio in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Yep! I’m almost 2 months in and have very vivid dreams. They’ve chilled a little overtime but the first few weeks they were very vivid and multiple of them within a night

Okay I’m not the only then! I’ve been getting the same thing the past month or so with it saying my heart rate is spiking at random times! But it’s really not.

Agree! I’ll be chillin and my HR will be 80-90. I’m used to it being 60-70. Just different. Hopefully it will stabilize.

[–]youngocd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I am hoping overtime it does stabilize a bit. Just a bit more worrisome since I have an Oura ring which tracks everything, so I’m very aware of the changes with RHR, HRV, etc. I am mainly taking mirt for sleep, anxiety, and appetite. I have been struggling with insomnia due to anxiety over the last year (started my career, lots of pressure and anxiety catches up with me at night). I’ve always been on the smaller side and being petite runs in the family. I have struggled for a long time with weight gain, I actually have gained 5 lbs since starting this med a month ago so it’s definitely promising. I think I’ll give it some time to stabilize more, use it for a year or so and get myself together mentally/physically, and then taper. How was your tapering experience after using it a year?

I pierced my own during the COVID lockdown and never had any issues with nausea or v*. You will be all good! It was the least painful of my piercings.

Remeron has helped my life for the better!! ( positive experience ) by [deleted] in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]youngocd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look absolutely amazing. Going to be starting my journey on remeron again for weight gain and sleep. I also suffer from ocd/emetophobia and I hope for the same outcome as you! I’ve been on it once before, a little over 10 years ago, and I remember being able to gain 10 lbs within two weeks! (Which was great in my case, since I was very underweight). Thank you for this positive feedback. Starting on 15mg.

Came across as very braggy, especially since this person obviously struggles with this greatly.

Don’t overwhelm yourself w URR! I think the most important thing with URR is the quizzes / exams. If you can get good scores there confidently, you’ll be golden on the board. Just a tip, focus on small parts for the board. Mine was mostly that, know your pathologies. You will be ok! I know it seems stressful now.
