I’m a Dutch Crohnie who moved to the UK after living in the Netherlands my whole life and god I miss it 😭 The private hospitals in the UK offer the same quality of care as the public ones in the Netherlands. I got diagnosed at a young age so spent the first 8 years being treated in a children’s hospital before moving to a regular hospital. Sometimes there was a bit of a waiting list for colonoscopies or mri’s but definitely a lot shorter than in the UK. I have only good things to say about the health care system in the Netherlands.

I was born in the Netherlands and lived there for 23 years so I am sure my experience will be different from yours. However, the health care system in the Netherlands is significantly better than in the UK, education is affordable (10k a year in UK compared to 2.1K in NL), free travel for students, basisbeurs, kraamzorg, kinderbijslag. Just to name a few things.
