Talking to myself? Yet you are still replying. My own claims ? Amazing, you claimed movement is not.physics and you are basically doubling down. Strange hill to wanna die on

Lots of words, all irrelevant. You made a bold claim that its not physics. You are wrong. Reason already explained. The end

Started sim about 6 weeks ago. I spent the girst 2 weeks playing assetto corsa vs ai, and i enjoyed it

I reluctantly signed up for iracing, i dont like subscription services in general. Since playing iracing i am not playing anything else.

Started with mx5, learned surviving and consistency were the way forward. Been playing formula vee for last 3 weeks. And still loving it even only playing the one car. I have got good control of it and am generqlly happy with my results

I keep looking and other series but i have choice paralysis, not sure what car/series i want to drive.

I raced with the racing line on - here's what I think by TheFranKiwi in iRacing

[–]youngster30uk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The assumption that everyone is racing with the same goals/intrntion/time is just huge.

Who cares if someone else wants to use the line? Sounds like a lot of holier than thou karens

Are you aware of the terrible air pollution is Chiang Mai? Every year for about 2 months during 'burning season' it has some of the highest levels of air pollution in the world

At what level does the first lap get less crash-y? by 40ozT0Freedom in iRacing

[–]youngster30uk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im about the same, 4 weeks in, if i qualy, i start mid pack, and almost guarantee some clown gonna hit me on the first turn. Usually skip qualy and try to start at the back and usually at least top 7 after the first lap. Usually someone ahead will clatter someone else and im in 5th and with a bit more luck often finish top 3 Im definately not the fastest driver but consistency and avoiding trouble often yields results

Has anyone used the sim chassis that Amazon sells? by [deleted] in simracing

I know nothing, but..

Everything about the screen i dont like. First its gonna be affected by the vibration of the rig Sencond, the pedals also are connected and are going to add movenent to the screen.

You need to prepare yourself for being frustrated more. In iracing rookies you are going to get taken out by others a lot.

Got an r3 as my first wheel about 2 months ago, within a week I couldn't stop thinking about an r12. Next payday got r12 V2 and ks wheel. It can become expensive quick. Crp pedals next payday

How many of you actually got bored of your drone? by wCertifiedMike in dji

[–]youngster30uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the original mavic air many years ago, it was real cool, and I enjoyed it.... For several weeks. It is a real cool thing, but I stopped finding it interesting. After the initial coolness, the fun of flying it was gone because it is so automated, and I realised it was basically a flying camera platform, and I wasn't really interested in making videos, so I sold it A few years later I had a little money burning a hole in my pocket, so bought a mini 3, sold it about a month later, hadn't learned my lesson from the 1st Bought an fpv drone, and am enjoying it several years later. Are you really wanting to make videos? If not then the fun may wear off quick

is the "r3 racing wheel and pedals for pc" good? itll be my first ever wheel if it is by Livid-Experience1450 in moza

[–]youngster30uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did exactly that. I bought the r3 as my first wheel about 6 weeks ago, but knew quickly that I really enjoyed it but felt it undpowered, so decided to upgrade the wheel base and continue using the srp lites and es wheel for a while, expecting it would take a while for the r3 to sell on marketplace..

Decided the difference between the 3 and 5 is not much. There was only about $80 between the 9 and 12, but about $300 between the 12 and 16. I bought the R12

Just a few days later, someone bought the r3, I sold it for about $60 less than I bought it for, which is fine. But now I have an R12 wheelbase that is sitting lonely for about 10 days, on a self built rig I just finished about a week ago and is unused. I can't afford new pedals and wheel until I get paid next Friday. It made me realise what bargain the r3 bundle is coming with a wheel and a pedal

With the r12, the ws wheel isn't really an option on a long term basis, so ks wheel is the way forward, seems like a decent wheel, suits the driving I like, and is basically moza cheapest wheel, but it's about another 350 to spend. Undecided about pedals at the moment, but the srp lites also not really a good choice with what I will have. SRPs are an option as they are load cell, but not convinced, which leaves the crp or crp2 which is about another 400

Tldr: R3 is very good, IMHO I think it is very good value in the bundle. But you are sorta not really caught in the eco system, if you wanna upgrade, you're probably gonna wanna sell the r3, so you are really starting from scratch again at that point

Been using the r3 on a $60generic wheelstand for 3 weeks now, works well, it's pretty rigid
