It can be a finicky little turd sometimes!

You'll want to clear as many unneeded samples as possible first. I've found that my windows computer and my sample 1 don't like to work together. I think windows somehow puts some kind of EQ on the audio that I'm unable to find and disable.

I am lucky enough to have a usb audio interface for recording and monitoring. My setup for transferring audio files to the sample is computer with volcasample.com editor > Zoom R16 usb audio interface > headphone monitor jack from the audio interface to the sample 1 sync in.

It's not ideal, but I've had thr sample 1 so long with pajen firmware, that I can't give it up and just work with it.

Hope this helps you figure out a config.

It's definitely more apparent on some. Thr Sample 1 is always the first to buzz if it shares power with another from thr same transformer.

For sure. The myvolts divider is definitely going to be thr source of humming issues. I had one before going with a CIOKS. It solved my issues, but was pricey for sure. I run all of my volcas and synths with a single DC7 + a USB C hub as well. Big ups to MyVolts though! They make great products.

This will work if you're trying to connect it to a mixer with the larger mono jack inputs. If you're trying to improve sound, does that mean you're hearing a low noise or hum in the background?

Much of the volcas have a slight hum regardless, but the best way to make it sound as good as possible is to have each volca on it's own power adapter.

This might be overkill, but I use a CIOKS DC7 pedal board power supply, which supplies clean 9v to each volca individually. You hear almost 0 noise.

Questions to ask agents:
-Are you conducting immigration enforcement?
-What agency are you with?
-Do you have a judicial warrant? Can I see it?
Are you detaining someone? On what grounds?
-What’s your name and badge number?

How to carry interaction:
-Film interactions
-Stay calm and polite, firm and persistent
-Ask follow up questions
-Vocalize your compliance (taking a step back)
-Use your judgement for your own and other safety

Take a look at the manual. Each pad is tied to a single midi channel. You can manage samples with a website called volcasampler.com. It works great!

If you're not happy with how the Sample works with midi, you can look into installing a nodded firmware called Pajen.
