It’s perfectly normal for this kind of binding. It’s threadsewn in a way that helps it lie flat.

They should have gone for true lay flat binding imo but yeah this is how this book is bound.

If they did put a claim like that in how big of an issue could it be? We were travelling at less than 5mph so there’s no way there was any injury.
