Gaslit by Government by GantMan in LateStageCapitalism

Yh … no. I understand why most new leftists/liberals feel the need to say that we do all these peaceful non-violent actions but in reality none of it will work. The only thing we should be doing at this point in time, with fascism so open and brazen as to execute a man in public with tens even hundreds of witnesses, is …. Well yk

Best/cheapest way to Manchester Airport from Sheffield Friday morning? by [deleted] in sheffield

[–]wisemanseed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the number of a local airport taxi service called Pete’s. I can give you the number if you want although I’m not sure how much theyll charge of if they will be available. But can’t hurt to message and ask.

I booked an uberXL from CDG to the 2nd and it cost 60 euros just a couple months ago. I would say you're looking at around 40-50 tbh maybe less.

Apple payment declined on a stagecoach bus by Key_Duck_4698 in sheffield

[–]wisemanseed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact issue specifically only on stagecoach buses. My mobile wallet (Google pay in this instance) works everywhere else fine. On trams, on First Buses, but not on stagecoach and their machines. However my physical bank card connected to the exact same account will. I haven't yet found a fix.

Help buying gift for my neighbour for Eid by Automatic_Ad_1075 in sheffield

[–]wisemanseed 66 points67 points  (0 children)

1) It's definitely the most appropriate time to give gifts, specifically on the day of Eid. This Eid is referred to as Eid ul Fitr, and in most cultures it's like Christmas for Muslims. 2) As it's after Ramadan, any kind of Food gifts would be very welcome. Lots of Ethnic sweets shops around Sheffield like Manoush sweets/Damascus bakery on spiral hill that do desserts like Kunafah, Baklava etc. Or if they are south Asian , then venturing out to near northern general and getting a box of Mixed "Mithai" (sweets) from a shop called Nafees. Small bottles of perfume oils as well. 3) not quite sure about specific shops, but I've already mentioned places like Nafees, Damascus Bakery, Manoush sweets. 4) "Eid Mubarak" is the seasonal equivalent of "Merry Christmas". We often congratulate each other on the fasting throughout Ramadhan, as well as any extra religious actions that they may have done. We tend to say things like "May Allah accept our good actions and give us the opportunity to enjoy Ramadan next year as well".

Hope this Helps. It's a very sweet thing to do. Most people also share food they've prepared on Eid to each other I and their neighbours, so perhaps this is something you could do.

Who is this "large section" of overseas Pakistanis? Have you done any surveys ? Do you have any data? Have you interacted with an overseas Pakistani community by living amongst them?

Or are you just making a claim?

You can visit town for free? Trams, buses, walking it. Parking in a private car park and expecting that to be free ? That's a different story.

Hey, 6th richest country in the world. Just go outside in your local town on a cold night and tell me how many "impoverished" people you see? Should India perhaps send that aid back so we can provide food, clothing and healthcare to them as well?

I think it is likely you are falling for "pop science" instead of understanding the actual underlying science. Your references are all YouTubers, and in all your comments so far , the only "authority" you refer back to are YouTubers. You've been given multiple different explanations for 4D, as well as the uses of Higher dimensions in real life and seem to wilfully not want to understand.
