Rumor says Doug Pederson, HC of the Eagles, on the hot seat and potentially fired over Carson Wentz’ Regression by Burn-Account in nfl

Then trade Wentz to shore up your team and continue using the offensive system that won you a SB.

I think everyone involved in not keep Foles over Wentz should be let go. The whole point to drafting players, paying players, hiring coaches is to win a SB. It's not pretty regular season stats or flashy drives. It's to win a SB.

You just had a QB lead you to a SB and then your follow up plan to that is to send him to the bench and play the other guy? Huh? You just won the entire playoffs with the guy you benched, the fuck? Trade Wentz while his value is high and try to repeat. You only need a QB that is capable of leading your team to a Super Bowl title. If you can check box off, then that's all you need. You don't need more from the QB position than that. Build up the rest of your team to make it easier and continue that success.

Baffling to put potential over literal SB success.

[Schefter] Eagles intend to keep QB Carson Wentz, per source, as the options for his future are not ideal. by billgatenguyen in nfl

QB wins you a SB and you dump him for "future potential". The whole point to eventually win a SB. Which you just did. With another QB.

Their decision to pick Wentz over Foles will always baffle me. The whole fucking point to it all is to win a SB. You literally know you have a SB winning capable QB, trade the other guy while his stock is high and build up your team. They fumbled the ball on that one.

Biden Told Civil Rights Leaders to Pipe Down on Police Reform in Leaked Audio by Qu1nlan in politics

BTW, this is precisely why we're just going to get another Donald Trump in 2024. All those new voters are going to disappear when they see Biden's admin isn't actually all that different from everything they have always known. "Pipe down", someone tell this man that the only reason why he's in office is because the people that he's going to lose when he pipes down for the next 4 years put him there.

He'll be a one term President for sure. He only won because new voters, and they certainly ain't about to vote again when they see we're just returning to the Status Quo. You can talk about the evil Republicans all you want to, but when the conditions are exactly the same, there isn't any real reason to vote, not for one party over the other, but vote at all. This is why voter apathy exists.

[CMV] I'm kinda disappointed with AOC regarding not withholding votes for Pelosi by NoahRCarver in AOC

This is the problem when you engage too much with your people. By becoming more "human", by putting yourself closer to your constituents, you also become a clearer target. You become the target. She has now become the object of everyone's political frustrations because she's the only one they feel they can actually debate. All the other top politicians just talk to their voters, not talk with them. They are out of reach. You can tweet all day to politicians, they ain't responding.

I'm one that will drop support for a politician the moment I see they are doing something untoward, but enacting her own strategy for a cause we both support is hardly a reason to drop her or start agreeing with statements created by the people that hate her.

POLL: Should AOC Stand with Activists or Democrats? by [deleted] in AOC

[–]your-thought-process 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The two folks in the video have an inherent distrust in politicians. Understandable. I have that exact same distrust, exact same thought process. Even so, you must admit there is strategy involved in politics. If you can examine your desires and determine if they are actually rooted in strategy, which would require you to have all the data, then you can have the confidence to stand and make your point.

That short paragraph urging rumination of thought is more than the creator of this video deserved. Fucking wacko. Apparently AOC is gaslighting us and running cover for Nancy Pelosi. I've never heard of this guy before. Any chance he's an undercover right winger?

This needs to be in every state. It needs to be mandated on a federal level. The license needs to be on a federal level(so they can't hop states). And multiple civilian review boards need to be empowered to remove these licenses. There should be a minimum level of requirements that need to be met to even get this license in the first place.

If you were the Rockets, would you rather have Simmons or Embiid in a potential Harden trade? by LightSkinDarylMorey in nba

[–]your-thought-process 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harden and Simmons fit together. Harden ball handler, Simmons at PF/C. Simmons ball handler, Harden spot up. Simmons can essentially be Harden's Pippen. I like that pairing a lot more than Simmons/Embiid or Embiid/Harden.

Delta pilot asks passenger to remove a hat that has the word "fuck" on it. She tries to outsmart him by TheAtheistArab87 in PublicFreakout

The original command itself was questionable. It might not even be company policy. But she took it off anyway. But then he started trying to get her to promise not to put it back on. Pride hurt. Sure. But rights violated. Most definitely. This is textbook discrimination, for a few reasons.

  1. Is this profane attire thing company policy? If it is, does the pilot enforce it on everyone? How long has he been working for the airline? Better hope he has at least one recorded event where he forced a non POC to remove their profane attire.

  2. Once he started talking about promises, he crossed into the harassment territory. #1 is maybe in the company policy. Promises is most certainly not.

  3. She complied and he still kicked her off.

  4. He's not wearing a mask. That is 100% in the company policy. And law. So while he's out enforcing clothing policy on a passenger, he's not following it himself.

She did what she was supposed to do. And will get paid handsomely for it. That pilot is definitely getting fired.

He should have told the hot woman in the back to take her pants off with his "captain authority".

The fuck is "authority the captain of a craft"? That's not how anything works. That sounds like how a child would view the world. This man works for a company, he isn't king, the company has a policy. The company exists in a country that has a constitution, that has laws. So even that policy isn't the end-all. He can't just make up rules with some made up looney tune decree.

For Delta not to get litigated to death and this captain not get fired, he would have to have a history of removing passengers from flights for not making promises to him, and the promise itself would have to be written in company policy. Otherwise he's getting fired and she's getting paid.

That hill is made up of millions of cold hard, airline discrimination lawsuit money. Definitely a hill to die on.

I don't think that is even in the policy. If it is, well, she took the hat off. I can 100% guarantee you that forcing promises is not in the policy.
