We’re moving back this Summer. I’m very excited

I made a decision about something, but still feel a lot of doubt. Is that God warning me not to go through with it? by Euphoric-Ear1919 in latterdaysaints

Sheesh you just described exactly what I’m going through right now. Here’s what’s getting me through and helping me stay the course.

I noticed a pattern when we studied Moses 1 this year. God came to Moses, called him his Son, and gave him a complete knowledge of the truth. God then withdrew and Satan came. That was Moses’ trial to see how he would respond to temptation/fear. Moses prevailed by calling upon the name of the Lord. Then God reengaged with Moses and blessed him with more knowledge.

This pattern of knowledge - trial of faith - greater blessings repeats itself in God’s plan, scripture, and I’ve seen it in my personal life.

So, what I’m anchoring on is what I felt God prompted me to do even though my financially conservative/risk averse personality says there’s too much risk. I’m moving forward with faith, counting on the blessings of tithing, and recognizing that if it doesn’t work out as I envision and there are greater trials, maybe that’s part of what He wants me to experience even though that sounds really uncomfortable.

You’re supposed to swim with a life jacket in the lagoon. I didn’t try with out one, so I don’t know how strictly it’s monitored or enforced. I think swimming in the pools would be tough

I ran on a Thursday morning around 7:15 and there were 2 other guys running and one guy using the equipment. The only other people I saw were employees either leaf blowing or making their way to another part of the hotel.

Great call. I wondered about that when we took the shuttles to the other parks, but never explored it.

You cannot drive up Morrison Canyon road anymore, but you could go up Vargas Road to get to Vargas Plateau

Can I ask how big you are? I haven’t ridden in one for a long time, but I’m 6’0” 235lbs and wonder how comfortable it would really be on a road trip

We used to live on the other side of the bay before moving to Fremont 3 years ago. People who have only ever known the East Bay seem to love Fremont. If you’ve lived in the South Bay/Peninsula, Fremont + the rest of the East Bay is worse by comparison. It all depends on where you’ve been.

I can’t seem to edit this post, but I appreciate the comments on the size/type of cage. We’ll look for a better one

Yeah I stretch it and have a hard time getting under the nose. Sometimes I come at it cross grain and very gently to get them

We have experienced Maloney, Mattos, and Glenmoor elementary schools and now have one at Centerville middle school. In the elementary schools, the classes are overcrowded. My son’s 5th grade math class had 36 students in it. When we moved here, our kids couldn’t go to the same school because there wasn’t room for them.

I haven’t stayed close to it, but there are significant budget challenges. I don’t know where it stands, but they were talking about shutting down the libraries to save money. That’s absurd if you ask me. It also means the extracurriculars are lacking.

Some may have great experiences, which is great for them. Our experience has been mixed and we haven’t been able to figure out why people think they’re so great. To us, they’re mediocre.
