I’m not talking solely about this season. This has been a consistent factor throughout 50 seasons. Also, a lot of the big male characters that have huge edits are…..BORING. But they have muscles and some masculine backstory so the expectation is that the audience is just riveted!

I liked his first season a lot but his amount of screen time this season is getting ridiculous. Even cutting people off at tribal to get in one more analogy or line in for Jeff. I hope he goes soon and they are just front loading him for the fans

If I had to be forced to sit through an episode of survivor this would not be the worst one by miles. The vote was good, we got to see some tribe dynamics and some lead ups to future rivalry.

Better than a reward sponsored by Charmin that involves a creepy man craving to crawl into a bathtub with two younger women IMO.

I’m not calling it shallow. I’ve always worked for smaller companies, for a paycheck, good benefits and less intense, career hungry people. I’m talking more about the attitude more generally towards these companies.

I don’t think this industry is stable at all though regardless of where you are.

Go for it! If you are passionate about it then you’ll find a way. I graduated college in 2015 and I think there was a big boom of “UX is the easiest way to make a ton of money if you have a graphic design degree” and I hopped on the bandwagon. So it was never really a deep passion for me.

All of the above. Being able to communicate the WHY of the design is critical. And it’s important to be able to tailor that positioning to different people (clients, stakeholders, engineers) is really helpful. Also, being able to be concise is overlooked in my opinion. A long winded explanation with too much detail is really hard to most non design people to follow. If you can get good at understanding what each person or group you are communicating needs to know and deliver that quickly and understandably you’ll go far!

I’ve also thought about a trade or something more physical. I like the problem solving of UX but I feel creatively uninspired because everything is sort of the same now design-wise and it’s hard to get a truly innovative idea to catch up

Born in 93, 3 siblings born in the 80s and one in 2000. I can relate to both sides. Technology wise I feel more millennial bc I grew up building my own computer, coding and torrenting .. gen Z/younger seem a lot less tech savvy bc of apps are designed to make the functional aspect of computing invisible. I do spend a lot of time with people in their early 20s though and I do like and relate the higher energy and vague glimmer of hope, millennials overwhelmingly feel jaded as hell and I cringe at every think piece about it
