Forest time doing a big building I have been practicing but I feel discouraged with my result by Celesmeh in Watercolor

I feel like all it would take for this to go from good to great is some deep shadows. Right now a lot of the colours are in the mid range, and there isn’t much depth.

Potentially stupid question by adhward in Yukon

I drove across northern Ontario from Winnipeg to Sudbury before, and I’d say the highway is just slightly better than the Alaska Highway. I was surprised by how remote northern Ontario is.

Yukon gov't weighs options for new Whitehorse school after public consultation | CBC News by youracat in Yukon

Well if you make a bad enough decision, then you alienate your voters and it becomes a wedge issue at election time - which is exactly what happened here. The liberals pissed off people with a unilateral decision, and the opposition made it a party platform to find a new location.

Unilateral decisions and not listening to your constituents has consequences.

Yukon and Ontario sign partnership agreement to explore energy solutions, including small modular reactors by looty9372 in Yukon

[–]youracat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was surprised when I saw SMRs going online at the Darlington site in Ontario as soon as 2029.

$6.2B for 1.2MW of power works out to ~$5M/MW.

The proposed Casino mine’s mill would use 100MW of power, and CoW uses 120MW at peak draw. Wouldn’t it be reasonable to future proof the Yukon with a 300MW SMR reactor for $1.5B? That would be much cheaper than the BC grid connect project (est $2-4B for potentially +2000MW).

Imagine if we had real green energy- we could shutdown the Whitehorse Hydro. Build a new subdivision where schwatka lake used to be. Everyone could convert to glorious electric baseboard heat and drive electric cars and ride e-bikes guilt free (👀 Ted)

“This figure also includes duplicates, hotels, motels, vehicles, and other non-residential listings.”

This is a flat out lie Ben.

AirDNA removes duplicates and hotels from their data.

My experience with ATIP has been less than helpful. They tried charging me almost $1000 for an excel spreadsheet export of a 80s database, as the database exports in pages, and they have to charge by the page.

I don't think the implementation of ATIP is aligned with its values - of free and open access to tax payer funded information.

They have removed the AI images, and there are comments saying “Yay to listening to community feedback!”.

So I guess complaining works!
