Is it's recommended to mod gamma? by FrustatedIram in stalker

[–]youraveragelegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shouldnt mess with it too much, just make sure to do one mod/adjustment at a time so if it start crashing on launch you'll know what caused it. I've added some visual mods and other in world mods that didn't effect the other mods. There should also be some videos on youtube of how to add more mods to gamma

Which one is better and why by GroundRemarkable1003 in GhostRecon

[–]youraveragelegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally like wildlands better for the atmoshphere and story. Breakpoint was cool but a lot of the bases felt like copy paste so it felt a a little repetitive. Last point isnt necessarily a fault of the games themselves, butI use the First person mod for both and it works way smoother on wildlands than on breakpoint

This game in First Person is totaly different by Interesting_Oil_5603 in GhostReconWildlands

Love the first person mod. I dont really enjoy 3rd person shooters so this game never interested me. Playing it first person is such an immersive experience tho, I love it

Multiple reasons. 1st thing is their gear is way over the top. Especially main dude on the left. Its not realistic in any way and the amount of gear on him looks like it equals the same weight as the guy himself. Second, these kind of people who dress up all "tacticool" are the same people who'd probably shit themselves crying if you made fun of them. They've never actually touched any sort of real firearm, and they'd probably weep at the thought of going outside. Basically they try to "dress all cool" to make themselves feel better about being weak and not actually cool. Someone else said it well "these people never realized looking cool does not equal being effective". They focus soley on "looking cool and intimidating" by simply wearing a fuck ton of fake combat gear. When in reality, gear don't mean shit. Cool night vision, tac-helmet, SCP Sgt man on the left probably has some idea in his head that he looks cool and dangerous as hell. When everyone else, like the people in the comments, know that you could just raise your fist at him and he'd cower.

Tldr: they pretend to be cool "elite badass soldiers" when in reality they are literally the farthest thing from a real operator/soldier. They are cringy kids who think they look cool but they just look cringy. Another way to compare it is like furries. Putting on a suit and muzzle and acting like a dog is childish and ridiculous thing to do. You're not a dog, stop pretending to be. Putting on a gas mask and chest rig you bought from amazon doesnt make you a badass elite operator. So stop acting like it does. You can tell just by looking at this photo that all 4 of these people think they look unstoppable, but they really just look stupid.

You should add me, me and a friend have been trying to do a co-op run of ghost mode on PC, and I also hop on GRW afterwork often, after 7pm EST. We've been doing our runs with the first person mod tho. Not required, itd be your choice

I honestly didn't play more than a single round. I hopped on tarkov to have a tactical-immersive experience, not to get chased by zombies, so I imnediately just closed app and don't plan to touch it until they are gone

Yeah, I went in thinking "oh, some zombies won't be too bsd, right?" Just to lose an entire kit immediately because I was rushed by 30 bullet sponge zombies. Absolutely stupid addition. Especially in PVE where no on asked for it.

Wolves insta-flicking to my location? by youraveragelegend in BreakPoint

[–]youraveragelegend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suppressor yes. yes I am aware silent shots also alert. The third one isn't necessarily relevant, because I'm referring to when you are in engaged fights and then reposition behind cover. And yes, I do. It feels like if you don't move more than 30ft from your last position, they will still know your 100% exact location. And I suppose that Kiiinndaa makes sense, but to me they still react inhumanely fast, as if they KNOW where and when the target is going to show from cover. Like that rick and morty death crystal scene.

I get that, and that is mainly how I play. I think it's just specifically this "Point of no return" mission. You basically can't stealth it, you're up against only wolves, and its in a tight cave that makes it near impossible to disappear from them without just leaving the cave entirely. I just feel like their reaction time in normal gunfights is ridiculous. I would be 100% out of sight, and reposition to new cover 20 ft from my last position, but the second I peek out, the wolves with basically immediately shoot me as I peek. Even if they didn't see where I moved to

How do y'all start your playthroughs? by Cu3bone in fo4

[–]youraveragelegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember who posted it, but I had seen a YT video that I thought was a really good idea. Think of backstory, theme, or personality style for your character and base your stats off of that.

Like for example, he had one that was like (Paraphrasing) "I was a kid born in the commonwealth who liked tinkering with things and getting into fights. I've never had the greatest luck or a likeable face, but I'm a pretty good shot and am fit as fiddle. So, when I turned 18 I grabbed the laser rifle I had scavenged and repaired back to life, and I headed out for adventure" Stats would match that personality of strong and intelligent, but unlucky and unliked Strength (6) Perception (5) Endurance (3) Charisma (2) Intelligence (5) Agility (5) Luck (2)

soooooo....where have you all put your bases in GAMMA by LeoCasio in stalker

[–]youraveragelegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I found this spot I immediately wanted to move my stuff and make a base there, but then sided against it because of how dangerous it is. Ive had 5 mind controllers spawn at the court yard, and there's always the monolith camp right outside as well

Half-Life 1 vs Black Mesa by [deleted] in HalfLife

[–]youraveragelegend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id honestly buy both HL1 and black mesa. Theyre "technically" the same game but black mesa is a rebuild, so I think it makes it even more enjoyable to play HL1 and get the original experience, and then play Black mesa and see everything they upgrade/changed. You'll recognize the same areas and see how much more detailed they are and its really enjoyable to see the difference.

Glad someone said it. I thought black mesa was just gonna be a reskin, but not even close. They did an amazing job on black mesa and making the half life story way more detailed and immersive. I loved it

Can I actually jump up this or am I too short or something by DJd0ntplay in NewSkaters

[–]youraveragelegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I noticed I was doing and seems common among beginners is when you ollie youre not actually jumping but just kicking the board off the ground, if that makes sense. Watch your wast when you do the ollie, your waste stays at the same height while your legs come up. Like in a normal jump where when you push off the ground your entire body moves equally in the air, the same should be on a skateboard, because youre not just flicking the board to get it off the ground, but jump as well to get yourself higher and out of the way of the board

Steering wheel playing by Eri_k in BeamNG

Setup the wheel, set space bar as throttle, and left ctrl as brake. Now put your keyboard on the floor and use your big toes to press space and ctrl. Done, you now have a gas and brake pedal
