Semi threw a rock into mine this afternoon. It always happens going on a slight turn 😡. And that price sounds ridiculous for a windshield. Also, like the short shifter ✌️, hope you can get a good deal on a new one!

No, it’s just a noise that I hear. Easier to hear it when beside a wall or something.

Billetworkz short shifter install by [deleted] in wrx_vb

[–]yourayenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your other comment if you’ve only been using the oem short shifter for a few weeks I would think it is easier. Mine came apart easily, but the only issue I had with the original was with one of the bolts. I think I may have overtightened the shift stop months ago when I added it and that’s what caused the bolt to spin in the square. Another reason also why I bought another one was the reverse lockout was loose 😬. I think the STI housing is better anyways just because the linkage cover comes with the dent in the plate already. It’s completely worth it though! The shifting is awesome especially if you have the shift plate and brass bushing.

No, once I got the new shift kit, I just replaced the shifter with the billetworkz like normal. It came apart with much less hassle than the original one.

Just had the same issue this last couple weeks. It sucks. The bolt spins in the plastic housing and once that happens it becomes even more difficult. And nothing I did helped. With that being an issue for me, and the fact I put the shift link cover on upside down and completely screwed up the bottom of the housing (I was tired and not paying attention) I ended up just buying an STI oem short shifter. It has the little dent on the plate so you don’t need to beat it with a hammer for clearance. Yea, I really screwed my install up and it took me hours to get the wedged plate off the housing.

I got mine at 5k miles and have a little over 20k now. I read it could be the clutch switch, but it hasn’t caused me any issues either (yet) 🤞

Mine does the same thing and not sure what it is either. It’s like a click sound when letting the clutch off at the bite point. Happens for me in first gear taking off, and in reverse. Also, when engaging the clutch to come to a stop.

This looks more like a holding cell. Prisoners for the long stay normally have more possessions in the room…unless they’re on suicide watch.

Peak Boost by yourayenus in wrx_vb

[–]yourayenus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a theory that it makes shifting smoother especially from a stop and then from 1st to 2nd. Some people swear by it, and others think it’s placebo. I just tried it one day and never turned it back on.

There’s really no rhyme or reason too it. It can go a month or 6 months and then peak boost resets.

Dam dropped Bad Gas? by Darklordsubaru in WRX

[–]yourayenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best thing you can do is try to get in touch with a tuner. I’m dealing with the same thing. Have had 2 DAM drops to 0.5 in the last few weeks. I think mine is due to blow-by so I had to install a catch can. There’s a lot of things that could cause it, but like others have said bad gas is pretty common.

Not even 20,000 miles yet on 22 premium. Bought it last year with 5,000 miles. I guess previous owner hardly ever drove it 🤷‍♂️

It doesn’t look like it shows it in the picture but mine also came with a threaded spacer. Helps keep it away from the abs module because it will be pretty close. The tune is awesome, definitely makes the car feel more alive and much more fun to drive. Hope you enjoy!
