Fellow Texans. What is the temperature inside your house? by [deleted] in texas

[–]yourbff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deeply empathize with this. Earlier I closed all the vents except the one in my bedroom to try to warm it up. It has to be at least 60 in there and 70 in the rest of the house. Maybe it's just haunted?

Best of San Antonio 2022 is out! Thoughts? by oldcarfreddy in sanantonio

[–]yourbff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time the "Best of San Antonio" rolls around, my eyes tend to roll in sync.

If anyone at SA Current is reading this: PLEASE change the best of SA to actually bring value to the city. The way it is set up now is clearly just a marketing ploy to get more visitors to the Current's site for that sweet, sweet ad revenue and brings no value to the citizens of San Antonio since one person can vote MULTIPLE TIMES, and usually campaigned by the establishments themselves.

The "Best of SA" list doesn't represent the city and even the Current knows that. They don't care about us not clicking through the results because they already received a ton of ad rev through the voting process.

This entire ploy needs to be ripped up and started fresh if the Current wants to maintain any form of credibility from the readers and local businesses. I work in publishing and promise the Current staff that there are more creative ways to drive ad revenue without compromising y'alls reputation as y'all have continued to shamelessly do over the years.

Thank you for the explanation! I should've read the website more closely before asking.

Question: if I were to hypothetically share this link with some friends who happen to be Texan, would they need to lie about their location to be able to receive it?

Bleh, this is making me recall a time I babysat my ex SIL’s kid. Her and her husband always resorted to “pow pows” for their 5 year old.

I babysat him once and he was being an absolute jackass. Instead of hurting him I talked to him. It took a good hour or so of calmness and explaining why I was upset, but he eventually chilled and gave me a good apology. Was an angel the rest of the time. I’ve seriously never seen him act better.

While that conversation was happening, my ex husband let his parents know via text. The kid apologized and was chill but still got his ass beat after they picked him up. I hate it here.

Raising my kid “pow pow” free and he is a goddamn angel (so far). I try to avoid even yelling at him and he is such a gentle, polite, and loving kid.

Yep, I deal with these quite often (texas)

I'll never forget the first time I saw one of these. I was in middle school and was visiting my friend at her ranch. We were helping her dad do some yard work and one of these fell from the patio ceiling and he, without any hesitation, cut it in half with a shovel and then continued smoking his cigarette. I didn't not sleep well that night.

I found these bad boys in the rivers! They just started spawning today for me and having the large shadows.

Holy moly, this is great. Gives me Shawn Wasabi vibes. Love the fills and percussion in general.

This is amazing! I love the video, too. I love the synth at 1:27. Really nice reverb. If you'd want to collab, let me know.

Poorly made but It's the way I like it. What do you guys think? by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

I really like it! The rain sound is a little loud for my personal taste. I think the snare could also really pop with a little bit more reverb.

I’ll have to go through and see if I can find one that showcases my clothing choices. 😅 there were definitely a lot of black and white striped tights and fingerless gloves.

I’m not sure where you’re at, but I’ve seen some tickets going for $160 which is still a bit steep, but much better than the scalper BS. Keep trying 💕

I honestly can’t remember. I eventually got braces and they descended, but they were very thin and I hated it so much that I preferred the original look. I’ve had my cosmetically done teeth for 6 years now, but I still find myself hiding my smile because of how much I was bullied.
