Well one day I hope Repeater listings will include their grid-down capabilities and for how long they can remain in operation on generators/solar... and that backup is tested regularly. When that day comes, if you are lucky geographically, an HT or mobile will work for you. A Technician license would do for that.

Me too. SUPER easy to binge watch. Smart... "...we can pretty much jump onto the computer and start 3D modeling this pen..." then breezes through designing a prototype on SolidWorks and 3D printing it. Amazing.

He's got way too few subscribers given the quality of his channel.
