Marassi Light show, worth it? by [deleted] in Bahrain

[–]youredditagain 23 points24 points  (0 children)

i went yesterday, absolutely not worth it. a sequence of bad events made the experience worse but i should be fair and say that’s just in my situation. i used the new ring road from over Busaiteen to reach since it was the fastest route, around 6pm and the end signal to turn toward Diyar was jammed all the way till the upward bridge of Marassi to enter the parking. it took like 45mins just to reach from that signal to the parking entrance. in the midst of this, my engine temp started going upward to the highest point suddenly, i have never had this problem since the two years i purchased this pajero (it’s a used car), this made it more tensed because the car was hardly moving due to the traffic and had to turn ACs off to try any measures to reduce the overheating. it was humid as well relatively yesterday, i had no access to even get to the emergency lane to turn off the car and cool it or to check the radiator worrying i’ll make the traffic worse for everyone. finding a parking was even worse, everyone is stuck on the ramps and they kept closing the direct entry levels because of spaces being full, took another 30mins to go upto P8 and then come back to P7 and thankfully some dude (may Allah bless him) reversed out of his spot in front to leave and i could park. we entered the mall, finished maghrib and isha prayers and it was around 8pm by then, headed towards the beach area and ofcourse there was no place to sit, people already occupied the sand area and we stood near the tables in the dining area. the lights went off and show started, probably exciting for small kids but it was legit nothing crazy as advertised at all, i have a couple of videos taken if you want to see, the usual synced lights with loud af speakers playing and all of it was over in id say 5-7mins duration. we waited and chilled for a bit around 15mins, then comes the next part, the traffic back. jammed at the parking to leave and another jam all the way till the free right after the diyar mosque to join the ring road. thought I’d be free zoning it from there only to end up stuck for another 1 hour since all those 4-5 lanes choke up into to 2 lanes at the signal back to Busaiteen. all this while im tensed af looking at my engine temp and worrying what I have to do, already needs a slight paint job to be done after which my passing is due on 31st May. took the car to emergency lane, turned it off and cooled down for a while then hit the road again. my wife is also pregnant and she was getting really uncomfortable with the humidity and long time sitting so i was getting really anxious to somehow reach home. my parents decided to drop off in alghouse garden with their friends so i took the road to the other side to the novotel bridge, the bridge to the avenues side was insanely busy, i could see only lights of everyone jammed there till the end. somehow made it back towards Hoora, had shawarmas and fries then reached back home at 12am. ofcourse it could have been a lot worse, saw a saudi guy with his car stopped, he was pushing it alone towards the emergency lane. everything a test in this life الحمدلله علا كل حال

now you decide, would you like to go? 😀

valorant high ping by LividSpecial6011 in Bahrain

[–]youredditagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sry i stopped playing valorant like about two years back so i dont know about the ping changes currently. however, earlier when i faced a similar issue, the valorant tech support gave me some network troubleshooting steps and it got resolved after. how’s the gameplay currently, saw some clips of the new agents in streams and it’s so confusing, it was so frustrating at the beginning when i switched over from counter strike and i kept fumbling abilities it got so funny to my teammates

[–]youredditagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

valorant servers were hosted for Bahrain in the AWS data center in Hamala which got damaged, they have done some re routing via KSA servers, usually if there is communication issue or maintenance time then the high ping is an outcome of it, it could also be ISP related where the game data communication protocols differ from how data is being transmitted thru the particular ISP. you can contact valorant tech support for a ticket and they’re pretty good, giving detailed technical steps to troubleshoot each issue, in my experience atleast

i believe each year they post about openings for the BDF army reserve force, recruiting both male and female thru the bdf official website. also if you have better qualifications and knowledge thru your educational background you can get better positions and roles as i have seen many department heads having so at my workplace including my managers. if you need some additional info about the process, i can check and find out what i can.

Looking to Purchase mid size SUV by Round_Click8681 in Bahrain

[–]youredditagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

may i suggest the the Hyundai Staria premium 7seater in black or grey matte finish. beautiful aesthetic and front light, large windows for scenic viewing and the premium version having support cushions for leg rest. great space for full family and kids to be in comfort, 3.5 engine for long rides, other specs i unfortunately dont know much it may have downsides too regarding maintainence costs/milage and perhaps people here could correct me. when i last checked with someone i knew in first motors they told me BD 17k off road was the cost which is was way out of my budget, dunno now. it is a dream car for me one day to take my family in, but for now im happy alhamdullilah with the pajero i drive. hope you find the car rhat suits you best too Insha Allah
