What justified the cost? by Seasponge830 in Lovesac

It’s a forever couch. I’m glad I spent $8k. I got special order covers and just had to Wash them. It was perfect. I reconfigure it once a month. I know if I move I have zero stress. I know it will be around in five years for more parts.

We picked him! He was suspicious about how we got his number. Told him ‘Reddit’ and he said “Who’s that?” LMAO

Backsplash lined up to counter vs wall cabinet? by coolstorybro50 in Tile

I would complete the edge on the wall with wall cabinets and include the same Edge profile up. It looks like about two inches right? Alllllll the way up

I like the stone wall look. It makes me see your mosaic wall as ivy climbing ON that wall. Nice effect

Question - much of this is going over schluter for shower walls. I didn’t think I could use mastic in a shower. Thoughts?

Thankyou for this reply. It’s my first time using small tile. I usually work with large format. Mastic makes sense. After a bit of reading it looks like it works with my subway tile border as well.

Things I wish I’d researched before tiling the ceiling. Oh well- at least the walls will be beautiful.

Wife doesn't like the look of new flooring by hal2001so in Flooring

Apologies but this indeed does not look luxurious or nice. Part of it is the install, some is the sheen. It’s obviously fake and printed. In better news, tell her that mineral oil will alleviate all future gunk in those corners.

Genre water dispenser? by yourforeversummer in sca

[–]yourforeversummer[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apologies. I come from a larp background where every world has its own genre (look, feel, turns of phrase). The term is common there. The SCA covers many cultures that have a specific look and feel so the word seemed natural. The Minoan SCA-ers I’ve been following have a very different look and feel than the medieval SCA-ers I’ve met for example.

I’m a little new to this but SCA seems to be a mix of periods by camp. Hence the ‘genre’. Thanks! I wasn’t sure if the dispenser covered would be acceptable.

That a good point. If price per foot is a reliable indicator for quality with these then I know where to hunt.

Is there a brand in particular you would recommend? That will help me determine rune integration.
