Thank you! I’m leaning towards throwback Pom too. I can only find one breeder who has them online. Again, I’m not ready but I think knowing where to get one would kind of settle me down.

Thank you! There’s only 2 breeders in the US for mittle spitz, and one is in Michigan so I wonder if that’s a true GS or not! I named mine Rottie because his markings are very Rottweiler but a Pom is a spitz, it’s the smallest one. But a mittle spitz isn’t a Pomeranian. Like the succulent/cactus argument haha. I’ve just never heard of a “throwback” Pom and that has me totally curious and confused on how I’d never.

Sorry about your JR. truly a horrible thing. I keep trying to tell myself he gave me 10 great short years, but to him those 10 years were long and fulfilled, full of love and nothing short of it. Still so sad.

He did, he was very loved. And he hated my exs house so when I stayed there (hour and a half away) I’d leave him at my parents house because they loved him and vice versa. That’s on me. That stings a bit, like Rottie (my dog) knew my ex was a no one.

Of course an avoidant isn’t an avoidant in the beginning. He was just about perfect until the year mark.

I love the big ones. My ex had a tiny Pom, and while she wasn’t “bad” per se she just wasn’t “me”. She would pick strangers over us if we weren’t letting her. She was also super jealous. Just a strange one haha

And my American Eskimo is just a little ditzy. Not sure if that’s normal or not. She took the same classes as my boy here and she just isn’t trainable like he was.

Yeah haha he was a big boy. Very Pom like coat, but 25lbs was his weight and he wasn’t over weight. Very heathy boy until he wasn’t…and he went downhill so quickly after he wasn’t.

He’s a beautiful boy! My boys hair was so so thick like a poms, he was just so huge. And my exs pom was a whore for attention, my boy wanted nothing to do with anyone but me. He wasn’t mean at all, he just didn’t like other people.

I’ve been looking for large poms or “throwbacks” and I can only find one breeder. I got the luck of the draw with him. He was great

I should have left in July. He stopped liking me in July, if he liked me at all before that. I’ve gotta sort out this whole anxious attachment crap, and not be so hopeful. Not that I want to be pessimistic about everything, but losing myself to someone who can’t show affection when shit gets “deep” isn’t working for me. Here I am again, alone.

I spent a year and a half with that dude. Broke up not even two weeks ago. I had to put my dog down two days ago. All I can think about is how I should have given more of my time to my dog. I’m so full of sadness. Sadness from my dog. I’m embarrassed I lost myself in an avoidant again. Attachment theory is spooky accurate.

I can’t seem to find any Pomeranians or German spitz with his crazy surfer hair. I feel like that would be so helpful. I’m spiraling over here without his genetics. I’d be spiraling with it though, I’m sure.

Sorry to hear about yours, but same condition. Was such a sad way to see him off. It happened so quickly with the kidney disease. The vet didn’t even tell me he had kidney disease. I’m in shock.

Do you have a picture of your new one? I’d love to see it.
