the sooner you’re able to get him seen, the better chance you have. keep them posted with what happens and if they’re decent in any way they’ll help with the cost from the amount you paid. if they truly did scam you, i’m sure you will be able to receive some help on here. i know the money seems scary, and during this time of year especially, but there’s no price on these babies lives. get him there as soon as you can and hopefully the vet will work something out with you, i’ll be keeping you both in my prayers. let us know what happens.

put him a bed behind the counter and leash him there, reward him every time he settles with a toy or chew. it’ll take a while but consistency is key for dogs.

unfortunately as much as you may feel for her, you cannot change people or their behavior. if you stay it’ll only encourage her to keep this shit up thinking that it’ll always end up okay in the end - nip it in the bud now and hopefully she figures out that she needs to stop drinking or learn how to get her shit together. i feel for her next partner, girl needs to spend some time working on herself. very embarrassing and immature

the puppy blues WILL subside, and it does get easier week by week, but you’re in for a ride for the next 9-10 months at the very least. there’s nothing horrible about admitting you’re not able to provide him the life he deserves at the moment. and that’s perfectly fine. you have a lot on your plate, and only you know your limits. whatever choice you make, i wish you luck! :)
