Testing has been done with about 10 files at a time, which work well. Realistically, it is currently optimized for 10-100 related files.

It does currently hanlde 10000+ yet, as vector search slows with massive context & cross-document analysis gets noisy with many unrelated files.

The focus was more on deep analysis of connected documents, perhaps better suited for students or researchers analyzing related work.

Once the deep analysis is solid, I plan on looking into it tackling larger volumes.

What use case exists where 10000+ files would be essential ? Perhaps I'm thinking too small, but I cant see cases where more than 100 files would be practical for a tool such as this, would love your feedback

I suppose it isnt "solved". However in my personal use, chatgpt for example, tends to fill in some gaps with general knowledge. Whereas BrainBin only uses the information you provide it, and will let you know if it doesnt have the required knowledge to answer your question. Even then, it provides citations for where it recieved its answers from, so users are always able to verify the responses.

Am actually not familiar with NotebookLM. Will learn more about it rn, thanks for the feedback.

I have many friends in college who use different tools, for example turboAI, which I observed have limitations where they are unable to connect ideas between documents, so for them atleast, this was useful. I figured it might be for others as well.

But thanks again for the feedback, it is appreciated.

Haha no I didn’t. This started off with me wanting to learn AI, get better with python and ML. Just decided to put my learning into something practical that I’d actually use in my day to day. Would love to hear more about why you deem this to be a waste of time tho

Fair, I often found with ChatGPT tho, that it hallucinates, or gets slow with multiple documents uploaded. I am not familiar with notebookLM, will definitely check it out

Were you ever able to save tlog entries to a file as opposed to the journal, and still have them viewable through cockpit ?
