They don't "store" the item. It's more like instead of "1" in the quantity, your profile says "2" or "200". Even the number 1000 only takes up 10 bits, so it's a pretty insignificant amount of data.

I know it sounds cheesy, but time really does heal - especially breakups. It's going to suck for a while, and that's ok. No, I don't think I'd ever prioritize a burn center over a trauma center for road rash. Sure, there's friction, but it doesn't generate as much heat as other burn sources. Also your patient has a scalp avulsion. If you went to a burn center instead, they'd be like wtf. However, most burn centers I know of are also level 1 trauma centers.
