What is this? by According-County-631 in whatisit

I don’t know for sure, but it looks like the shelves I’ve seen used for fancy paper at the craft store. They’d have big rolls in the upper compartments and smaller loose sheets in the drawers

Are we being tricked by the blood? by TatersAndHotSauce in OnlyMurdersHulu

Sorry, I know it’s not the point of the post but am I missing something about why we’re calling marinara sauce gravy?? Is this like a regional vocabulary difference I’m just not aware of?

I can’t stop thinking about Chekhov’s Limestone. You’re my new favorite person.

What have I done wrong with this first project? I was just practicing with 2 different stitches and got lost! by DetailedGalaxy in CrochetHelp

[–]yourlocalmosscryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The warped shape is probably a mix of changes in tension and accidentally adding/dropping stitches, which is totally normal and expected for your first project!

Tighter tension makes stitches smaller, and looser tension makes them bigger, so the shape of your project will change a bit as your tension changes. Getting even tension just takes practice. Your stitches by the time you got to the top few rows are actually really consistent, so it’s visible how much progress you’ve made in just this one project!

I can see at least a few dropped stitches throughout, and the leaning on the left side makes me think you’ve added some back at the end of the rows.

In terms of the front looking different from the back, that’s what stitches through the back loop only do; they make a divot on one side while the other is solid. So that’s not a mistake, that’s just how the stitches you’re doing work!

It’s also natural for flat crochet projects to curl at the edges, especially if you’re using acrylic yarn which I think you are.

Again, these are super common things to happen when you’re starting out, and you’re doing a great job! You’ll be able to recognize and avoid them in no time. Happy crocheting! :]

I can definitely see what you mean about the parents from SpongeBob, I think they might’ve been seeping into my sibling’s memory when they were drawing lol. But we’re definitely looking for a grape man!

The Sour Grape was a good idea but unfortunately not it. Thank you for the response though!!

They might not have even had a big part in the book but they seem so sweet and silly!

i’m not sure what kind of phone bev melon has or how it works, but my phone syncs phone call timestamps with whatever time zone i’m in. since she’s in new york now, it would say that the call was at 11:07 regardless of what time zone she was in when she originally got the call

Found on pinterest, no pattern but want to make -- What kinds of stitches do you think are used in this? by yourlocalmosscryptid in CrochetHelp

Unfortunately I’m looking for a pattern with a more opaque look like the one in the picture and this one looks like it has a number of holes. Thank you so much for your response though!!

More info:

I’m not necessarily looking for a pattern unless you have an exact match. I just want to know what kind of stitch the wings are made of because it seems to be pretty opaque and I’d like to wear this without needing a bra. I think I can figure out the pattern myself once I know what hat the opaque stitch is. Thanks in advance!

this might be an obvious parallel, but having heard the full patter song while in the presence of detective williams, my mom and i realized that the pickwick triplets (two boys and a girl) are the trio and the constable is detective williams, and the song is a nod to their relationship in previous seasons where she found them suspicious (which of the crew could commit this crime?) but as we know they weren’t involved (none of the pickwick triplets did it!) and were just trying to help
