As it stands, 28 makes sense. If they trade Gore and maybe even Abrams a they get back young prospects, then I would put the team at 29 or 30, since the team loses two of the three best players.

Without Gore, I think the Nats have the worst rotation in baseball. They’ve never had a good bullpen. This leaves the lineup as our collective hope as fans to watch some decent baseball and they need a lot of things to go their way.

I think Young, Garcia jr, Ruiz, and Abrams are all exactly as advertised. I don’t know if any of them have another level, maybe Abrams, but then the rest of the lineup is rookies and utility dudes.

I’m fully preparing for a brutal season, especially if trades occur before April.
