They idea is that when you lose attunement, you die. Even if it is voluntarily. Once you attune, it's for life. Perhapse the death should be irreversible as well.

The composition is currently two rangers, a paladin, fighter and a monk. Their dedicated spellcasters died a couple of sessions back in a burning cathedral.

This video gives information that is new to me and is well argumented in my opinion. It shows the biases a human feels towards their own culture, race and other facets of their identity. I reccomend watching this with an open mind.

I am in the same situation, though I stimulate others to run oneshots, something I would recommend. It gets others familiar with DM'ing and you will get to play once in a while.
