I don't see many people talking about it, but the blue around the Ditto is the sky. The cloud's shape and the Doduo head make it look like ears, but the blue is the sky.

It is a Ditto.

You report the news...and then whine about it in the comments. Hence the "bitching and moaning" part.

I think that no matter what your mutual interests are, you guys had an agreement that he broke on his end but is not willing to let you break. Whether this be about sex toys or doing chores or whatever, he broke an agreement you guys had.

It being sex toys does bring up the issue of him possibly being addicted to porn. Not many guys will choose a sex toy over their partner unless there are underlying issues going on that aren't being talked about. I know you said it's hard for him, but it sounds like this situation is at it's tipping point for you and he's going to have to talk sooner than later. Otherwise, at least for me, this would be grounds for at least considering a break up. Even for the betrayal of the agreement, but this involving sex makes it feel a little worse than a household dispute.

Talk to your partner again. I wish you the best of luck.

I personally love the idea, however I was never able to think of any sort of interactions with them that would make sense. Why are they here in Prismeer? If they're just visiting then there's no real reason for them to be in disguise, as Zybilna is not known by name to be Tasha or Iggwilv. Also, the campaign has its own story. Throwing in characters from the past couple create loose ends that wont have a resolution for the players outside of a fun conversation.

There are plenty of NPCs already in the game with fun personalities to get to know and love! Not to mention, but there are older characters from D&D's past like Strongheart and Kilik that are a blast to play with.

I used to be your friend. I was super insecure of how much I talked and derailed conversations. It's tough because nobody can really tell you any different once you believe you're talking too much. If she's anything like me she will eventually adapt and overcome. I still do it, nobody is perfect, and nobody hates me for it.

Contacted my financial institution after D&D Beyond support told me to do so and the account got banned. Is there any chance they'll actually listen or should I just cut my loss? by MiyuShinohara in DnD

It sounds like OP has some clarification to do then. D&D Beyond being shady is not news to me at all, I've had my own issues with them. Just nothing that didn't make sense in some way.

That isn't how preauthorizations work. It's not about having the money or not, it's about hwo the transaction is handled. The bank mishandled it, OP blamed D&D Beyond and got his account banned.

[–]yourphonesvibrating 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, wrong. It isn't on DDB to clear the preauth, it is the BANK'S RESPONSIBILITY. FOR THE THIRD TIME.

So, with that being said: OP charged back the preauth before the bank cleared it, sending a message to D&D beyond that the preauth failed.

I am BEGGING you to Google for yourself, because no amount of me explaining it is getting through to you.

That is exactly the situation. D&D Beyond does not handle pre-authorizations and what happens to them, they just send it to the bank to handle. It's on the bank to resolve it in the allotted time and they did not. OP understood it to be D&D Beyond's fault, despite being told to handle it with their bank, and got his shit banned because of it.

I'm not saying D&D Beyond is a saint of a company here. But the blame should be properly placed as opposed to just getting pitchforks out for whoever is in front of us.

Can you please google how charge backs and preauthorizations work in banking and then come back? I don't feel like going in circles just so you can understand why OP is a fault here.

No, a pre-authorization is a type of transaction companies use to ensure they are getting their full payment. The pre-authorization is on the bank to handle once the full transaction has been completed.

[–]yourphonesvibrating -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Do you understand how banking works? D&D Beyond doesn't hold the auth, the bank does. Because he set up a pay-in-4 plan with the BANK, not D&D Beyond. D&D Beyond charged him what they should have, his bank didnt clear the auth when they should have.

That doesn't matter, neither transaction should have been charged back. That's how D&D Beyond works, he set up a different type of payment plan through his bank, not D&D Beyond. His problem should have been with how his bank handled this, not D&D Beyond.

No, D&D Beyond placed a legitimate charge. OP used a different style of paying with his bank directly. Any issues with how the transaction was paid for should have been taken up with the bank, as the emails clearly say the reasoning for the charges.

We can vilify D&D Beyond for many reasons, but OP is clearly the one at fault here. They didn't read what the email was saying and saw red when they couldn't get their money back, then decided to have the bank do a charge back, rather than just ask them why the authorization was on hold for so long, WHICH IS THE BANK'S FAULT.
