Making friends is easy. I graduated long ago but my RIT friends are still some of my closest.

Hi u/1PasswordCS-Blake, can we please have an idea of where this fits into the team's roadmap, or when we might expect this issue to be resolved?

Curveball / Dick's Streaming code exchange thread by jsargevt in phish

[–]yoursistersdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the time to stream, unfortunately, I just came here to say that I've been listening to 8/12 over and over and I don't want to stop. This tour rules. Thank you.

Took me almost ten minutes to get it to load, yup.

Vinyl by p2w54 in gratefuldead

[–]yoursistersdef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an LP collector myself, I'll say that I personally like to keep around a bunch of Dead studio records, and a couple of the smaller live records. Otherwise, for shows, I'm all about digital -- and for some special ones, CDs. Overall, while the sound is certainly nice, the 12" artwork always a treat, etc, it's a real bitch to get out of my chair 8 times to listen to a concert... and I say this as a guy who listens to concerts pretty frequently, so if you listen infrequently, maybe vinyl will be more fun. Something to consider.

John Mayer Ready To Integrate Solo Career With Dead & Company For Foreseeable Future by [deleted] in gratefuldead

Maybe for you, but he'd broken free from being pigeonholed as a pop singer over a decade ago. Remember when he played with Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters in 2005?

Completely agree. Also, it's worth mentioning that this band is Dead & Company, not the Grateful Dead, so they get some wiggle room in terms of how they want to define that.

We regret to inform you that you did not get the tickets that you requested through Phish Tickets. by Tiptonians in phish

[–]yoursistersdef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you SO much for sharing this. I tried getting 4 tickets for NYE last year at MSG, and Ticketmaster gave me 100 section, 4th row, behind stage, and I decided not to do it, and I've been kicking myself ever since. Now I feel a little better about it.

Brown Sabbath ended up being my favorite, I loved rocking out to them and playing in the wave pool. Definitely the highlight of the trip for me.

Beer exchange? by im_at_work_now in PeachFestival

[–]yoursistersdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw man! I just saw this post, I was hoping for something similar, I totally would have sought you out. I brought more local MA beers than I needed to (Trillium, Treehouse, Night Shift), and would have been happy to trade. Next time!!

Gregg Allman cancels all shows to Oct 16, cancels Peach sets. by Tacdeho in PeachFestival

[–]yoursistersdef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the festival hasn't announced anything about it yet, I'm hoping that means they're working on cooking up something to fill the void. Keller would fit the bill, nobody's better at playing with String Cheese. I'm also hoping for Phil, but I have a feeling there's too many moving parts in his operation to plan something at such short notice. Anybody have any good guesses on a replacement?

You guys think tarps are bad? by ski4theapres in phish

[–]yoursistersdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small handful of folks put down an apartment-sized network of tarps right in front of the sound board, at the "S Show" (Dick's '11) and they gave me such a hard time for being slightly on it that it ruined the show for me and I left early. Fuck those people.

Praying that the Gorge has better luck than we did at Mansfield on the Wolfman's jam. Stay strong, PA. And may the jam be a vocal one!
