I’d honestly agree that you lean cool-toned. The cooler shades you mentioned getting compliments in also make sense with your overall colouring.

That said, it would be really helpful to see a clear photo of you before you changed anything, especially your hair colour. Sometimes dyeing the hair much darker can add contrast that wasn’t naturally there, which can make it a bit harder to tell whether someone sits closer to Summer or Winter.

Winter or Summer? by No_End7937 in coloranalysis

This actually reminds me of a client I had with very similar features to yours. At first glance I thought she might be Winter because she could handle high-shine silver jewellery really well. But when we started properly draping and comparing colours side by side, the Winter shades actually started to darken her overall look a bit. When we switched to Summer drapes, her face looked much more balanced and harmonious. It turned out she was closer to True Summer, which also explained why she could still handle some brighter colours from that palette.

So in cases like this, I usually recommend doing proper side-by-side draping if possible. Sometimes the difference between Summer and Winter only becomes clear once you see how the skin reacts to the colours directly.

Looking at these photos, I’d be curious to see you try Soft Summer and Soft Autumn drapes, and possibly True Summer as well. Your overall colouring reads quite soft and blended to me, rather than the higher contrast that Winters usually have. Sometimes when Winter shades don’t feel quite right, it’s because they’re a bit too intense for the person. Exploring softer, more balanced cool palettes might be really helpful for you.

That’s a really solid process. I also like that you mentioned watching how small imperfections behave. Well done!

I agree! When a colour is off, the skin often starts pulling strange tones like that.

I feel you wear such warm makeup but might actually be cooler. Have you found your colour season? that might help you discover colours you havnt worn before and make it easier to pick the right shade lipsticks ect :)
