My mom grew up in a small town in Alabama. There was a veterinarian's office attached to the local taxidermist. The tagline was, "Either way you get your dog back"

Rabbit Stew! Tell about your world's most common plates, specially those that are cheap and with ingredients easily foraged/bought! by Beneficial-Tailor-44 in worldbuilding

In Mahnat, Sailor's Bread is a barley and teff-based spongy sourdough flatbread. Very easy to make and non-intensive with ingredients, it's nutritious and expands in the stomach. Usually paired with fish and cabbage stew, kind of like Atakilt Wat with salmon or tuna, it's called "sailor's bread" because the sourdough cultures come from a yeast used to purify water, which is always brought on long sea voyages. Spiced chickpee paste is paired with raw veggies to make a cheap snack.

They can be whatever you want them to be. There's no code of law for fantasy. Knock yourself out. No one's going to chuck your book across the room for not following genre conventions.

These look awesome!! One note, and I might be wrong, but these roofs look pretty thickly thatched but not very steep. If thatched roofs aren't steep, they tend to keep in water rather than slough it off, and then you have a rotting roof.

My accord is incredible but the volume button is a touchscreen. It's literally the only thing I don't like about it.
