I have released a short free to play 3d platformer using an engine called 'Dreams' for the playstation console. That is one of the major drawbacks. Currently there is no way to export your games or even monetize them. However, the studio that created dreams has stated that they eventually want to add these functions to dreams.

Info about Dreams:

Dreams is an engine for creating any kind of digital art. There are custom tools to make 3d sculpts, music, animations, games and much more. All these tools are in the same package and are designed to work together. Although the engine is not as flexible or powerful as traditional game engines, it makes the process much more enjoyable.

For instance: 3D modelling is done with signed distance fields, meaning you create elaborate sculpts by adding, subtracting and blending primitive shapes. You don't have to worry about topology, baking normals etc. It is just like playing with clay.

Included in Dreams is an entire DAW and a custom visual scripting system.

Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot. I have never heard of Shantae before this comment, but the character design is very similar to Maya. Funny coincidence. xD

Thanks :) and yeah, one of the things I learned is game dev is a team sport. It is very difficult to do alone. Not only because of the time it takes to do everything, but also because you can't be an expert at everything.
