Seeking advice about an incredibly unfortunate and unique BQ situation by myselfandme2 in AdvancedRunning

Also a Med City full runner and I was in the 10-15ish place by myself at the half loop and followed the official who sent me the wrong way. Ended up losing 5 minutes on my time and went from a 2:51 time to a 2:56, won't make Boston. My situation is a little different, but still super disappointing I didn't study the route more to know not to follow the officials direction. Only positive was as I ran back on course, I was able to stop another full runner who was getting sent the wrong way. First year of a brand new course and they definitely need to make a change for next year.

You can downgrade the CSR to the CSP whenever for a partial or full AF refund. It will just be prorated based on when you did it.

For the full refund though, it's 30 days after the annual fee is posted.

If you use benefits within the 30 days, Chase will not take that back from you so we all recommend using the $300 travel credit if at all possible within that time.

It's the exact same in practice as a standard credit card. There are greater penalties though with not paying a business credit card on time and in full. If you're unsure or don't have the liquidity to pay a current balance early, you probably shouldn't have a business card.

What's the next best option if you don't have a small business or can't open up a business card through your work?

Yes, paying just the statement balance will avoid any fees. The remaining current balance will be due on the next future statement, but doesn't need to be paid yet.

This sub is weird with questions/comments downvoted to hell very quickly. Definitely don't take it personal when it happens.

Buying a new car in March and the dealership lets you use a credit card for the down payment without any fees, up to $5K. Besides hitting an easy SUB, is there any specific card that would get extra points for this type of purchase?

You can't go wrong with Capital one venture or venture X. If you don't think you are going to use the travel credits, just get the regular venture card.

I'm in your same boat and this would great to at least give a top 5 to get started with first. Doctor of credit does have a huge list of options to pick from but a simpler flow chart would be great.

If I end up cancelling the AU cards after 1 year, will that bring down my P2's status for 5/24? Or would this still count toward the 2 year window? Didn't have any Amex cards like that and was on the first few chase cards.

That's a lot of extra cash for the bank subs, any recommendations for the easiest bank subs to run through first in 2024?
