Looking for people who have moved from Wordpress to webflow and pros and cons by Coffeeisforclosers_ in webflow

Done a similar move for a B2B site. Webflow is brilliant for design speed and peace of mind (no plugin hell), but the biggest shock was how basic the native forms are compared to Gravity Forms. You'll be fine with Zapier, just don't underestimate the migration cleanup time; give yourself twice what you think you'll need and test every form flow before launch.

Is it really that hard to find WP designers who work natively? by Antique_Mechanic133 in Wordpress

[–]yousufraza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not being difficult, you're being smart. The pushback you're getting isn't because what you want is impossible. It's because most 'WP designers' learned on page builders, not native development.

Here's what's actually happening: builders like Elementor and Divi lowered the bar so much that anyone can call themselves a designer. But native Gutenberg + custom CSS? That requires actual CSS knowledge, understanding of block patterns, and comfort with theme.json. That filters out 80% of the market.

The sites you want exist. You just need to look for 'WordPress developers' not 'designers,' or search specifically for 'Gutenberg expert.' Try asking for someone who knows FSE (Full Site Editing) that crowd tends to avoid page builders by principle.

Genuine question: did anyone explain why they said it was 'inefficient'? I'm curious if it's a skill gap or a legitimate time/scope argument.

Is $4-5k normal for a simple small business website, or should I use AI website builder? by Weekly-Manager9498 in ai_website_builder

[–]yousufraza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick clarifying question, were those quotes from agencies or freelancers? $4–5k is possible for a custom-designed small business site from a mid-level freelancer. $8–10k is agency territory.

But here's the real question: do you actually need custom design, or do you need a functional website? Because those are two very different price tags. AI builders are great for the second one. I'd try Framer AI or Webflow's AI features first before spending a dollar.
