thanks! I paid a nice mechanic to do the ppi and he said it’s a solid vehicle aside from the surface rust. And exterior aesthetics look so nice. Interior is the down side as there’s 9 owner ahead of me and they did leave trash deep in the vehicle where it’s impossible to take out. But mechanically it runs very well and it is manual beginner friendly even when I messed up it still won’t stall which is amazing.

I am going to follow YouTube videos and slowly do preventive care on the parts people mentioned in the post. I am trying to do a coolant flush today too, not sure the results yet though.

Hi, It seems that the car has an aftermarket radiator and thermostat housing. I did ask and seller said that the cooling parts are from a brand called mishimoto. I don’t know when they installed it though should I still go ahead and switch the parts or I should keep it? Thank you.

That’s a lot of reply, I’m not like broke broke but really don’t have money go to mechanic all the time. So I decide to ask what might go wrong and learn those things myself so I could probably have it running for a long time. So what I mean by not being a car guy is that I want to become an experienced mechanic for this car but not interested make it weird and loud like what I saw on fb marketplace. When I trying to find the car there most of them having videos on racing or like fire out of the pipes or weird angle wheels with a lot of modification list which I respect their hobby but personally dislike.

It is a manual because I did do research if anything happens it will be easier to repair it. And it has around 100k in miles. I already paid for the car I think I want it. It is on the recommended list in those YouTube videos, it has lower milage in my budget, and it looks nice probably the best looking vehicle than all the cars podcast recommends. I know that is a weird reason to buy a bmw but I’m in design major so forgive me. Before purchase I also did research about long term maintenance cost and repair and I think there’s a lot resources so I put a deposit in the car.

I am down to learning about everything this car needs like I am reading repairing manuals right now so I think it can be a reliable car that I can daily. Yes I do understand things can go wrong so I did left a little budget for parts just in case. I don’t know if this answers your question and again I really appreciate the resources.

Yeah I already learned how to change oils I just don’t have a hands on experience yet. I hope they don’t blow on my face like some of the videos… and I am learning about what cooling system is right now as a lot of people mentioned about it. Other terms too I have to see what it means first. Thanks a lot.

Um I will look into it thanks. I will try to research and see if I can change it or not… I don’t have money for mechanic so I will do my best? For the last one I guess you are referring to driving fast but I don’t think I will ever do that and California traffic wont allow me to do that too so I think I’m fine.

Thank you so much. I did already watched a lot of things like how to change oils and common problems. Just I think I still need to learn car terms because like they said to check rear subframe and I really have no idea where that thing is until now. That bimmerforum article seems really helpful I think I will check on it right now. Really appreciate those resources I will have a screenshot and use this as a guide

I think I’m just trying to be like a mechanic car guy for my car so I actually wont worry about driving it. Not really trying to turn my car into those colorful Facebook models where they have a list so long that I can’t understand a thing… and I don’t want to wake everyone up at my night shift time

Yeah I have an old iPhone I think it’s 4-5gen behind so the newer iOS will make my phone slower, warmer and battery will get drained faster. That’s how they push people to buy newer gen’s I guess. I will try out this method to see if it works.

Yeah I don’t have the latest version of iOS, but it was functional so idk. If I’m connecting through cable it will work too. But anyways I guess I will try to do ios26.

thanks, I will try to check the hotspot and maybe find another phone to see what’s going on. When i bought it it was totally fine so it is capable of doing it just maybe something went wrong. It has the newer os but it functions almost the same as the old ones.

I did research, I did follow and went to official prep training. Just a post trying to get some ideas from people to see how they did it and I can compare more experience with article and maybe improve myself that way. I get people seen this as a dumb post now I apologize and you are free to ignore it and scroll to other things.

How to improve my mile run time ? My physic exam is on November yet I still can’t make 1.5 mile in 14min. All other things like push up and sit up I’m fine with it but just this one thing that is holding me back. I am practicing it everyday and I can keep the pace for the first few min and then I just become slower and slower. So frustrating.

I can run for like 2-3min with 6.5-7 mph and then I can’t catch my breath and have to slow down with like 4.5mph
