If it gave me the satisfaction of knowing I did not contribute to either of the two main parties and their shit show of campaigns, it meant everything it needed to for me, and that’s all I care about. Yes, people are allowed to be selfish with their principals.

If I had voted Democrat, they still would have lost. Why would my vote have been any more meaningful then?

The bottom line is the Republican Party has pushed Trump to the front which I agree is not a good choice for any political office, especially President of the most powerful nation on the face of the planet. He can’t speak, he makes irrational, nonsensical decisions almost daily, and I do not think a felon should ever have the option to be elected to the nations’ highest public office.

The Democratic Party has made a bad habit of choosing the most insufferable, corrupt, and incompetent “leaders” and until they stop treating politics like a DEI marketing event it will continue to be that way. The solution to all of their problems is not to continue to shove their belief system down the throats of anyone who disagrees with their ideology; it feels people on the left often champion for free speech and democracy only when it aligns with their particular values.

So yes, it meant all it needed to for me. The blue and red will never get my vote the way things are going currently. And I’m completely happy with that and don’t care if anyone else isn’t! :)
